My analogy was intended to suggest that if one is advertising any product or service, one should not place too many obstacles in the path of potential customers. Whether one is selling sex or ice cream, one wants to attract customers, not repel them. I think a great many people would be put off by this gentleman's list of rules for potential clients (several comments on this thread suggest that to be the case)--and these rules are just for making an initial inquiry or contact. How many additional rules and restrictions does he have regarding the actual service he is offering?--perhaps none, but it makes one wonder. If you make it inconvenient or difficult for your customers even to approach you, you won't attract many people. Any ad for any service should be positive and inviting, not a lecture about how your potential clients may or may not behave.

I found this after seeing SheldonSC's rentmen ad. I feel like I ought to send him a few bucks for giving me such a good laugh. I don't doubt that the Benjamin Nicholases of the escorting world may arrive at a point where they can be selective about their clientele, but they'd also likely be a bit smoother about the process.
