I find that my 'type' has become almost extinct. In past years I was able to hire a plethora of 'golden boys.' I fondly remember these guys but can't seem to find their present day counterparts here in NYC. Am I missing something? Or someone(s)?

I might be missing something in your post or might not know a common term.

 

When you say golden boy do you mean a caucasian guy? It's a bit confusing especially since not all those guys have blond hair.

 

I haven't looked at the ads, but it's a bit strange you can't find any anymore.

I mean, smooth, clean shaven without tats or piercings, swimmer's bodies and no buzz cuts. Personally my type is typically caucasion and latins that fit the profile. Scruff seems to be the standard now. Not a turn on for me.

Over time things change and what was once in vogue is no longer "hip". Look at porno from ten years ago and you will find very few tats and facial hair, while today it is virtually impossible to find a porno actor who does not have multiple tats . Time marches on!

Damn this trip down memory lane is reminding me of Tony Davis -- hot blondish guy from the mid 1980s. I went to see him strip back then at one of the Times Square establishments on 8th Avenue -- it wasn't Gaiety but was nearby. I, too wonder what has happened to them.

Michael Brandon is a dear friend but he fell back into some of his old and bad habits, I think he's getting help now though and hopefully we will see him back in public again before too long.

Back in the day most(though certainly not all) escorts tended to be so good-looking you'd be afraid to approach them in a bar. Lately there seem to be a lot of escorts who I presume are competing on service rather than appearance. I used to find most people advertising attractive, now I'd say it's less than half. And I've actually broadened my tastes. Part of it is the excessive facial hair/tattoos/piercings trend has accelerated faster than increased levels of fitness. I'm not generally a fan of those things, and I think a lot of people have taken them to a level that detracts from, rather than enhances, their looks.

I think it's just a different market today.
