I have decided to give this subject its own thread, because it is so important to me and, perhaps, to you too. I was circumcised at birth and was happy to "fit in" in the locker room and circle jerks of my youth. Most of my generation was cut and the intact guys took some shit for the appearance of their cocks. "anteater", "one-eyed monk" and many other comments were common. I said nothing, because I was just trying to survive daily PE.

I always prefered the look of a cut cock in my porn and fantasies, and subscribed to the CW that circumcision was necessary for a healthy, CLEAN penis. I never looked closely at or touched an intact cock and had no idea of the sensual delights for both the toucher and the touchee, until I hired Lance Navarro last April. OMG! The sensitivity he displayed and the wonderful fun I had sucking him was a revelation. I had forgotten how sensitive the head of my penis used to be. Sometime in my late 40's the feeling just started to go away, and it is still getting worse. I decided to do some research on my own since I havent yet found a urologist who will even discuss it with me.

I found that my lack of sensitivity in my glans is most likely due to my circumcision as a baby. Without the foreskin to protect the glans I have suffered keratinization of the skin on the head of my dick, caused by the constant contact and abrasion against underwear, jeans when going commando, exposure to sun when nude tanning, soap, chemicals (chlorine in pools), as well as a life time of jacking off and fucking. Keratinization is the process in which the outermost cells of the mammalian epidermis is replaced by keratin, a fibrous protein. This happens in claws, nails, horns and hooves. It involves drying out and producing extra layers of skin which seriously inhibit the ability of the nerves in the glans to transmit sensation. The glans was meant to be an INTERNAL organ protected by the moist mucosal tissue and covering of the prepuce. The skin on an uncut glans is, apparently, wet, soft and very tender. Mine (and yours??) is dry, rather hard and tough. THERE IS NO WAY TO REPLACE THE ORIGINAL FORESKIN THAT CONTAINED MOST OF THE NERVES THAT STIMULATE AND ORGASM. BUT all is not lost for some improvement.

There are three main choices:

1. Leave things as they are and just enjoy giving rather than getting sexual pleasure.

2. Foreskin replacement. This involves stretching the skin of the penis through mechanical devices for many hours each day so that the body adds skin to the shaft. This eventually becomes long enough to cover the glans and then surgery may or may not be needed to keep the new "foreskin" in place. This process will likely take years.

3. Buy removable artificial foreskins. This option claims that if you cover your glans with a protective device 24/7, you will feel an improvement in sensitivity in around a month as the keratinizaion of the glans (the extra layers of hard, dry, insensitive hoof material) sluffes off. This becomes a lifetime committment, because stopping will just let keratinization return.

What to do? I am very unhappy with my current state of glans sensitivity so #1 is a loser.

I am soon to be 74, so I don't want to wait 2 to 3 years to grow a new foreskin.

So it is #3 for me.

Why am I telling you all of this? I figure some of you are in the same boat as me and might like to know that there is help of a sort available. Look on line under "foreskin replacement" and "artificial foreskin" and read up on it for yourselves. There is tons of info on how to self diagnose, the pros and cons of regrowth versus artifical, and which artificial is the best. That is where I am seeking help. If any of you have tried or know someone who has tried any of the Artificial Replacement Foreskin, I would really appreciate your comments, especially about my choices (about 3) for artificial foreskin.

I was born in 1942 and over half of my male friends were circumsized. My dad was born in 1909 and I am sure that hardly any of his generation were. It became pretty standard between 1930 and 1950. Most of you were born after 1942 and I suspect that large numbers of you are missing your foreskin. I urge you to check this out and start protecting your cock now.

The single biggest regret of my life is that I allowed my son to be mutilated so his cock would look by mine! I had no idea.

I'm 68, cut, and my glans is as sensitive as can be. Even more sensitive is the frenulum - that area on the underside of the penis just below the glans.

Now, this is just anecdotal, it won't work for everybody but: have you tried coconut oil on a daily basis? Coconut oil is a fantastic moisturizer/emollient: it reduces the friction on the surface of the glans from underwear, etc., it enhances the skin's surface ability to retain and hold water, and it provides a layer of oil to the surface of skin to reduce water loss. All of that being said - you complain that: A) there has been a lifetime of "contact and abrasion against underwear . . ."); B) keratinization, also due to friction, which has thickened the skin of the glans; C) you are in need of moisturizing the glans to 'reproduce the condition of the uncut glans.'

Coconut oil is one of the very best moisturizer/emollients available and costs a whole $8-9 for a big jar (even at Whole Foods). You can even get pure, organic! It comes as a solid and as soon as your finger touches it it melts to a useable consistency.

I said above that this is anecdotal: I have used it on my penis (and, really, on my entire body) for years as part of my anti-aging regimen. Rub my glans or frenulum and I'll follow you ANYWHERE!! Even use it when you masturbate - it's a great lube - there are a few escorts who use this as their lube of choice (watch out regarding certain types of condoms, of course!)

Glennnnnnnnnnnnnnn - I think you are chasing a ghost if you think that trying an artificial foreskin is the answer. Try the coconut oil for a few months, twice a day.

Hope this helps.

As always,

Funguy

My partner did foreskin restoration. He used a variety of stretching devices to stretch his foreskin until it completely covered the head of his dick. It took years, but the end result was worth it. He looks almost like he had never been cut. There is, apparently, a tiny circular muscle at the distal edge of the foreskin that can contract and relax which keeps the foreskin in place over the glans. In circumcision, that muscle is lost, so the appearance isn't quite the same as if someone had never been cut, but it is barely noticeable. I sure like it.

I've been curious about restoration for a long time now. Would love to hear more about this, and I'm picking up jar of coconut oil tonight.

@poolboy48220,

Let's see who else chimes in. If this thread takes off, I am going to document my adventure with the artificial foreskin. I'm just hoping that someone I can trust has some advice as to which product is best. If we find that there are just two or three of us interested, I can PM those interested as I proceed. It may be that Funguy is right and the use of the artificial foreskin may not help. But if I am willing to pay $500 for a couple of hours with an escort, I'm sure willing to try something that may make those hours much more pleasurable. I will be very happy with a 20% increase in sensitivity which could make the difference between cumming or just getting blue balls. I am also starting the coconut oil regimine. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. What do you think?

Thanks, Funguy. I am starting the coconut oil today. I am also going to try the artificial foreskin, whose regimen suggests lubrication like you have used to assist things along. I have an appointment in October with an escort I have been lusting after for some time. I hope that my dick sensitivity will be much improved by then.

You know while normally I'd probably be one the first people you think of bemoaning something past that you can't get back, I'm fine with being circumcised. (Please note my uncharacteristic 'positivity' here, @jjkrkwood).

I can barely stand to have someone touching the glans after I cum as it is. I wouldn't want it to be even more sensitive. Plus I prefer the look of cut tallywackers. That doesn't mean I won't play with 'intact' guys. It's just a preference.

I'll butt out after this, but you said Lance is the first uncut man you've hired. Could it be that he's unusually sensitive for reasons unrelated to being uncut? If you'd never been cut, you might be a bit more sensitive, but not necessarily at Lance's level.

you make a very good point and there is no reason to butt out. Im interested in all comments and opinions. I will say this, all of the sites on line about "how to suck an uncut cock" caution those of us without foreskins to be aware of just how sensitve the intact glans can be. There is a definite common wisdom that cut guys are often too agressive with their uncut partners due to the relative differences in sensitivity. As far as my personal situation goes, I know I have lost most of my sensitivity since youth. This could be just a natural result of aging, but how many guys would be willing to accept a glans that feels like an elbow if there was a chance it could be reversed a little? Stay tuned if interested.

Here's a perspective from the other side of this topic, if you will -

I'm uncut and my glans is super-sensitive, especially the dorsal corona. I mean, even a moderate squeeze or focused rubbing with the thumb for several seconds with foreskin fully retracted is sometimes enough to get me on tip-toes and moaning for respite. However, clumsy or overzealous handling is actually painful and not in a good way. Since I'm not someone who derives pleasure from pain, this has the paradoxical effect of making me lose my erection.

I've had experiences where guys hear me moan and respond by increasing the intensity of stimulation without letting up even though I'm desperately trying to push their head away, pulling on their hair, etc. to signal them to just ease up. Then I have to explain why I lost my boner and need to take a break to catch my breath ...

The point is that being too sensitive can also be a problem.

As I type this I have some other seemingly random thoughts about uncut dicks, but I'll hold off for now so as not to risk derailing this interesting thread.

My initial thoughts here are grass is always greener... and you know how that often turns out. I'm not sure if my Mr. Happy is giving me the most pleasure it could (I'm cut), but I certainly would not want to fuck with it (metaphorically that is) by any sense of the imagination. It is what it is and it puts a smile on my face. At times the smile is bigger than other times, but heck that's life.

However, the coconut oil seems like it would be something harmless... heck it was suggested by a really funguy! I would give that a shot first! Simpler and non invasive is always better in my book!

PS: to @funguy... Now you tell me I should have been using coconut oil all over my body and especially on the face for anti-aging... Well better late than never! :) ;)

Okay! I've started with the coconut oil, I have a new gay-friendly urologist, and I'm meeting with a doctor who specializes in hormone replacement looking for a little help there. I am putting off the decision about trying the artificial foreskin while I do some more research. Thank yo all for talking it over with me. It helps to have friends with whom you can be honest.

Not to hoist my own petard, but multiple people have told me how young I look. I was fooling around with some neigh 30 years ago, and I noticed how soft and smooth his skin was.

"what do you use for soap?" I asked.

"Tone soap." I've used it for years, and fully agree with Funguy.

On another topic, @WolfRamNHard, you had some thoughts about uncut dicks.....?

Ok, I was trying to avoid turning this into a navel-gazing (foreskin gazing?) exercise since this thread is in essence about being circumcised, not about being uncut. Moreover, I didn't want to detract from the advice that you've been getting from other circumcised members, which I figure is more useful to you than my casual ramblings about The Foreskin. But with your permission, here goes.

If any of the following bothers or bores anyone, just ignore it and move on to something more interesting to you, no reason to spend precious time complaining. If it happens to intrigue you or entertain you in any way, then I'm glad to be of service.

- Should go without saying but not all uncut dicks are the same. On the one hand there are those where the foreskin retracts all the way back during erection and the foreskin becomes nearly imperceptible. At the other extreme are those with phimosis which is actually abnormal. Most fall somewhere on the continuum between these extremes, in my experience.

- Similarly, not all circumcised penises are the same, as you all know. Some are cut back more proximally, others maintain some residual foreskin. It's interesting to conjecture whether those that are cut "all the way" are less sensitive than those that still possess a little bit of skin.

- As a teenager I used to have these weird theories about how the presence or absence of foreskin makes your dickhead grow differently during puberty, in terms of size and shape. Experience has taught me that none of those theories were true.

- The biggest dick that I have ever had sex with was uncut. However, the 2nd biggest was cut. I'm convinced that foreskin status has nothing to do with size. If anyone has actual data to disprove this, I'd love to see it.

- I'm always surprised by how many cut guys don't know this so I'm going to mention it here. Uncut penises don't require much in the way of lube. I prefer no lube at all, in fact I actively dislike it. The non-keratinized mucosa, the "precum", the protection of the prepuce and the limited exposure to air all combine to provide adequate lubrication. If needed I prefer saliva because it doesn't create a gooey mess. (Obviously I'm talking about masturbation, not anal).

- I find cut erect dicks to be aesthetically very pleasing to look at in real life and in porn, and I do like to admire them visually. However, playing with uncut dicks is more enjoyable to me when it comes to oral and handjobs. I'm *not* referring to playing around with the foreskin which some people are into. I'm talking about the actual texture and feel of foreskin-covered erection in my hand or in my mouth. Something very primal about it. As far as anal, there's no significant difference where I'm concerned.

- Speaking of anal, I've known some uncut guys who prefer to not retract their foreskin all the way during penetration because of sensitivity. In fact, I've known some who actually leave their dick fully sheathed when they put on a condom.

- Foreskin-shaming is a real thing. I experienced it first-hand while growing up. These guys who claim to have "never seen an uncut dick" just need to take an art class or something. Pretty much all Classical, Renaissance and Baroque male nudes have intact foreskin.

- I sometimes wonder how frequently the opposite occurs in Europe and Latin America, i.e., do cut boys get teased at school since uncut is more common? I'm aware that historically anti-Semitism has an association here (being cut marked you as being either Jewish or Muslim since Gentiles are supposed to be uncut). But hopefully contemporary attitudes have improved?

- Somebody once actually implied that I might be anti-Semitic because I admitted that I gravitate towards other guys with uncut dicks. Whatevs!

- It is true that I (subconsciously) disproportionately pick out European and Latin men, and it probably does have to do with the fact that they are much more likely to be uncut (unless they happen to be Jewish or Muslim). To each his own. I remember the first uncut guy that I had sex with, an exchange student. It was an eye-opening, mind-blowing experience for me because up to that point I had become used to being with guys who were mostly clueless about foreskin-covered dongs. In other words, my tendency towards Euro men is quite simply the pursuit of great sex, and not much more than that. They know how to treat it right because they have one too!

- I've found that escorts are really good with uncut dicks, presumably because of their vast experience with all things sex-related (or maybe I've just been very lucky in that regard).

One of my uncles had to be circumcised at the age of 72 due to medical reasons. This was a man who served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He said it was the worst experience of his life. The procedure as an adult is not pleasant. In his case it required a two stay in hospital and long recovery. About a year later when fully recovered he said he wished he'd had it done sooner. I did not ask him to elaborate.

I like men however they come. If a guy is uncut, I like uncut dicks. If a guy is cut, I like cut dicks.

When I was in high school, there was a kid who had been born in Europe and hadn't been cut. I noticed his dick in PE class when we were swimming - it was a real anteater dick. At first I thought he was disfigured, but then realized why he looked that way. I though his dick looked ghastly and thanked my stars for having been cut. Fortunately, I got over thinking that uncut dicks looked ghastly.

Yes, yes, yes.

The very, very first dick I had the pleasure to suck belonged to a French boy, and it was uncut. I was a bit surprised (I am cut myself, and we were both 16 years old), but I found it hot to play with that bit of skin that I did not have myself, and he certainly enjoyed my tongue. After that, it was mainly cut American dicks for quite some years. Now that I live in Prague, I enjoy uncut Czech dicks.

I lust after cock, cut or uncut. I have never regretted being cut, and I don't think my glans is less sensitive: getting it licked drives me through the roof o_O
