I order and face my bills in the same direction in my wallet. I never really thought about the quality of the bill itself (wrinkles, small tears, etc.) My local ATM's only dispense $20 so getting $50's or $100's requires a visit to a teller.

I don't particularly care about the demonization, but guys who face them all the same way before they give them to me get points in my book.

Never thought about it but I always do that.

I always do that and not just for escorts, but for everything! I was taught that as a child. It was the way that you always received money when you went to any bank years ago. Every bill was face up and and all faced the same way to boot! Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Today you will get money handed you face up, face down, upside down, right side up, or whatever. I won't leave the counter until the money is counted, ordered according to denomination, and properly faced as well. I keep it that way in my wallet in order to keep track of what I have. It also makes it easy to hand it to others in an orderly fashion as well. It just seems like the right thing to do.

So does that make me seem like an old fart?!?!?

Incidentally I usually pay in Bennies, or at times Grants depending on the total price. Possibly Jacksons for a tip.

  1. AngloCatholic / High Episcopalian.
  2. I've been known to put them in ascending order by serial number. How's that for OCD?

  3. I've gotten to taking longer trips, and if we go out of the country, anything over $10,000 has to be declared. Easier to pay by phone or some other method, since that money is going to show up on the IRS's screen one way or the other.

Long ago I had a job that involved a lot of cash, that we used to have to "face". After some time, it no longer became money (it was a legit job). To this day, I face my bills in my wallet.

As far as payment to providers, since ATMs dispense only 20's, I appreciate rates in multiples of 20's.

Always have the bills facing the same way. Learned that back in high school days when I worked retail. Also always learned to count your cash drawer and don't let the supervisor or manager count it for you ... long story.

Lol! I'm so OCD about this. I like crisp, clean benjis facing forward. Typically inside a discreet thank you card...unsealed. If I know the guy well, it is usually inside a little departure gift. Dailies (my version of an overnighter) or multiple hour mtgs can get so cumbersome to carry around in 20s or even 50s ( who uses a $50 note anymore?). Anyway, my bank ATM dispenses hundreds in crisp new bills. Just make sure you count twice! ;)

While I love clean, crisp bills, they're hard to come by, even at my local banks. AND I LOVE 50's. They're so rarely used, I usually get comments when I hand them out.

I always visit a teller during banking hours to get what I need in 50's, tips in 20's + 10's. I count the cash at the teller window and then recount so many times to make sure I don't accidently short the escort that facing all the bills in one direction occurs naturally. In addition, any bills with bent corners get straightened out in the process too! I am a bit OCD when it comes to pay an escort. I would feel awful if I short-changed him in any way in regard to his fee. To top all that off, I have a billfold I only use to hold escort payment and tip so I cannot mix up his money with my own cash on hand! It probably sounds complicated but it simplifies it for me!

Ok, I confess, I'm OCD in that respect. Just checked my wallet and I had 5 x $5s and 4 x $50s - 5s all over the place (with the Queen facing every which way - how embarrassment) and 50s all alligned.

Never thought about it but I always do that.

..And it seems I am not alone in my OCDness here!

It just means we're neat & orderly people. That is until we're with a hot guy - clothes flying everywhere & total mayhem ensues!!

1. Is that anything like "stoned Lutheran?"

2. My deepest respects to your OCD. It is now mine.

2. I have never arranged banknotes in ascending order. You have now given me ideas.

3. I prefer to keep my passport in order and arrange visits as appropriate. Still, if I find myself in the same country as someone else who has maintained the readiness of their passport, I would not necessarily disregard their presence there!

I could be wrong, but I think most people arrange their folding money that way. I don't find it at all peculiar, or anal, or OCD. It's just what people do. I don't put folding money in a wallet. I carry a really small wallet that just holds a few business cards, my driver's license and a couple of credit cards. I keep folding money in my pocket, sequenced according to denomination. I like the idea of using a money clip, but every money clip I have ever owned I have promptly lost, so I don't bother with it any more. Since I use plastic for nearly everything, I go for days at a time with no cash at all in my pocket.

I would say that someone who arranges banknotes according to serial number in his wallet either needs a doctor or a hobby.

Wow! I really didn’t anticipate some of the tangents this thread has taken. Part of the joy of this forum I guess. Still, for escorts who haven’t chimed in yet, I really am curious as to whether you prefer to be paid with $100 bills or $20 bills. So far, I only see one vote on the question, which was that it doesn’t really matter.

Personally, I hate breaking a $100 bill on a small cash purchase and usually use credit cards for larger purchases, so I’m always annoyed when an ATM gives me $100’s instead of $20’s. But if someone relies more on cash transactions, maybe they would prefer to be paid with $100 bills?

Speaking of tangents, that raises another question in my mind: do you often use cash for large purchases (for hotel rooms for example) and do people look at you suspiciously for using cash instead of a credit card?

Unfortunately none who think as we do work in a bank!

Well I'm glad that @Eric Hassan , @adannyboy and more than a few others don't work in a bank! ;)

I am a former banker. When I started out way so long ago we were taught to straighten out the turned corners of the bills and stack them all in the same direction. Years later I was told that the trend now is just put the money away, don't straighten them out or sort into the same direction. All in the interest of saving time, and have the tellers try to sell you something else in the way of services. I hate going into the large (to big to fail) banks these days, they always are selling. I prefer my local credit union.

I work for a bank and we also tell the tellers to just put the money away, unless the branch has a currency recycler, which counts money coming in and dispenses money when paying out to a customer. Even the brand-new tellers straighten the money before putting it away and/or into the recycler. When asked, they say they do it that way because it is more orderly and gives them the assurance that the money is correct before putting it into the drawer and/or the recycler.

Credit unions are doing it, too.

A simple question for escorts: do you prefer to be paid a given amount in $100 bills or $20 bills? I would imagine that $20 bills are more versatile and less “suspicious;” on the other hand, if you collect a lot of them, you’d need a pretty big wallet. What are the pros and cons of each denomination from your perspective?

As long as I don't get paid in pennies
