Hey, whats everyone doing for Thanksgiving?

I myself am trying to decide whether I should go to my boss's house, or eat with some new friends I have recently met.

Then again if I time it just right I could probably go to both. :9

I'll be playing Half-Life 2 (PC), Halo 2 (Xbox), and Metroid Prime: Echoes (Gamecube), and working on my website.

Oh, and maybe watching the Stock bar website. :)

I'm cleaning out the freezer and throwing away last year's leftover turkey. :+

It'll be Cornish game hens at my house. ;-) Every few years I get an itch and do the whole traditional Thanksgiving meal, just to see if I still remember how, and then I'm over it for a few years and go for something less bulky.

Don’t know why, but Thanksgiving and the day after have historically been busy work days for me. Maybe it has something to do with having a Friday off from work or family being away. So those are my plans. :)

My Thanksgiving routine starts on Wednesday with a group of us doing a day trip to the closest casinos. (Not really crowded at all and usually a great time.)

Thursday I'm spending the day with my sister and her family. (I plan to give thanks for all my winnings the day before. ;-) ) We all have different food assignments so no one has to do all the work. While the turkey is cooking part of the group is watching DVDs while others are in the family room watching football.

Friday and Saturday is snowmobile time at the cabin. In between runs there's always an on-going poker game, more DVDs and football games.

Sunday is decorate the house for Christmas and get ready for work.

Those plans were almost derailed this year when it appeared a business trip would take precedence. I can't think of a more depressing holiday than spending it alone in a hotel.

Just out of curiosity, do escorts ever get booked for appointments on Thanksgiving?

My roommate and I are having a few friends over for the day. I'm doing the cooking, and we're having deep fried turkey injected with cajun creole butter marinade. If you like cajun fare, it doesn't get much better than this. For the traditionalists in our midst, there will also be cranberry sauce, stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, pumpkin pies, pumpkin cheesecake, peach cobbler and cherry cobbler. We always have a good time.

And sometime between Friday and Sunday, I'm hiring.

I am going to be with wonderful friends in a third world country and thank God I was not born here, but pray to my banker that I can buy a condo here.

And I forgive the Marriott. I love them all.

For everyone who is cooking, can I stop by your houses with some aluminum foil and tupperware containers? :9

If you're close to where I live (Utah) you're more than welcome to stop by.

For those cooking turkey, I wanted to pass along a couple to tips for a good, tasty meal.

We always cook the turkey in a dutch oven (fueled by BBQ brickettes). Instead of putting stuffing in the turkey (Stovetop is so much easier) we put celery, carrots, onion, and orange in the cavity. In the bottom of the dutch oven we add about 20 oz of Sprite, 7-Up, or Mt. Dew (depending on what's available).

Cook the turkey for the first hour with the breast down (all the juices will flow to the breast). After an hour turn it back to the breast side up.

Happy eating!! :9

Every year my sister, my brother-in-law, my youngest nephew and his family and I go to the home of my oldest nephew and his family for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The only problem is that my oldest nephew's wife MUST be the worst cook in the world -- she is a fantastic person but a horrible cook. With this in mind my sister prepares and takes about 1/3 of the dinner and I prepare another 1/3. This way just about everything except the turkey is edible. To remedy that situation I cook a large turkey on Friday have my sister and my brother-in-law and some other friends over for a TURKEY dinner and then send them all home with leftovers. Damn isn't it just great what we do for the sake of family peace.

Skins,

That is some funny shit !!!!!

I will be staying home and watching videos (non-porn), since I dont have the balls to face my family cause I just came out:(

People used to ask my Mother how she got turkeys (even cheap ones) to come out so moist. She always said start 'em breast-down and then flip 'em (which was Dad's job). She never quite learned about harnesses and such that make lifting a hot bird easier. Turning the bird (notice I didn't say flipping) was always a comedy proposition, often involving Dad and several uncles.

Stuffing on the side, always, but NEVER Stovetop!

If anyone in SoCal wants leftovers, feel free to stop by. Although I suspect the 6'3" bodybuilder staying with me won't leave much on the table. :+

Just finished making a couple of Holiday Salads and prepping the house for the visit of 18 friends, all from Europe who I have sold property to. Tables are set in the outdoor kitchen and a 22 pound turkey and 15 pound beef rib roast are waiting to go on the BBQ tomorrow. All the fixings tomorrow with great conversation and "Thanksgiving" for the past year and the blessings we have all received. Anyone on the west coast of Florida that is displaced, you are welcome. Happy Thanksgiving

Flying to Atlanta for some swinging at Richards.

MIMI made me a great turkey dinner a few days ago, just like she did last year. Great Carrot Bread. Makes a GQQD dessert also.

For awhile today, I'll have my webcam on so you can see the view from my hotel room. No XXX rated stuff, unless you send me money...lol

On Yahoo's Instant Messenger it will be on HOOBOYCHAT.

Please don't try and chat with me because I am frantically trying to make up for the reviews which were not published yesterday due to technical problems.

Happy Thanksgiving guys! I really appreaciate your support, input and in rare cases, contributions which allowed me to indulge in this lovely view.

Hey folks, if I'm going to 2 Thanksgiving dinners toady, what should I eat for breakfast? :-)

My boyfriend and I are going to the SF Auto Show, which is a Thanksgiving tradition around these parts, at least with the auto junkies I hang out with. Then off to my parents' for a dinner with their wacky guest list... they invite all the unattached people they know from the neighborhood and work, which is usually a very international crowd. Even if they're not asked, people bring their favorite side dishes, so there's an odd mixture of traditional American fare along with couscous, latkes and such. Somehow it all works, but then again we're all a sort of freaky people to begin with....

Good grief...

Does anyone else have Thanksgiving dinner coming out of your ears?! :7

I've found out yesterday that two Thanksgiving dinners in one day isn't necessarily a good thing.

Well you should have found someone to help you work those meals off after dinner. I was "doing" Danny Cruz after Thanksgiving Dinner, worked wonders. :+
