I paid my first visit in almost a year to Stock Bar Montreal last weekend.

On Friday, D.L. was there. For those that don't know D.L. he is a regular visitor to Stock who spends serious amounts of cash on many of the dancers.

This was not the first time I've seen at D.L at Stock. Indeed, I must have first seem D.L. at Stock at least six years ago. However, for a relatively quiet start to a Friday night at Stock this weekend it did illustrate some of the problems for the rest of the customers when he is there.

D.L was seated at the front of the stage with six dancers beside him for the night. Fair enough for a high spending customer, but what becomes a problem is when:

a) Other dancers come to talk to the dancers and block the view of the stage

b) The dancers seated by the stage make a lot of noise and distract the dancer performing on stage

c) There was a general air of some dancers simply not making any effort. Many dancers didn't even bother to take their shirts off when they're on the floor. There were no duo/trio/shower shows on the night (or at least I didn't see them). From their point of view when D.L. is throwing cash around like confetti, there's no need to.

On Saturday when D.L was at Campus and Stock was back to form with some good duo/trio shows. Though quite a lot of dancers who were there on Friday clearly felt no need to return on Saturday.

Two observations from this weekend spring to mind:

1. Money clearly talks and there's nothing unusual about a business accommodating high spending customers. Airlines, hotels, restaurants, casinos etc. do this all the time. However, it's usually done discretely and not to the visible detriment of other customers.

2. Successful businesses are about consistency. When you go to Stock on a Friday and Saturday night you should know what you're getting: a decent number of dancers roaming the floor all with their shirts off; first up-tempo dance partially clothed; second slow dance fully nude with an erection; and duo/trio/shower shows. Stock has a successful formula and it's a shame when it departs from it.

In fairness to many of the other dancers, I did have some great private dances on both Friday and Saturday.

I did also have some interesting conversations with other dancers about D.L. Some clearly have no time for him and there's some very questionable behaviour on his part.

LD19847, in case you hadn't noticed, Stock Bar is a strip club, not an expensive Broadway show, Geez. Would you also like a Playbill and an usher to bring you to your seat? For a five dollar (Canadian) admission fee you get to sit in a large, plush, upscale club, purchase drinks at reasonable prices, and view some of the hottest boys in North America performing erotic shows in various stages of undress. And you have the opportunity to spend some private, relaxing, and hopefully romantic time with your favorite ones. Stock Bar is the classiest, and most enjoyable of the Montreal strip clubs, and kudos to Stock management for providing us with such a chill environment. I don't recall ever being informed at any time that I was guaranteed to see up-tempo dancing, duos, trios, or shower shows. Do any of the other clubs in Montreal provide those guarantees? In fact, do any of the other Montreal clubs even provide duo, trio, or shower shows at all? The answer is NO.

I have been to Stock Bar many times when DL was there. I actually find his interaction with the boys to be quite droll. However, if his presence bothered you as much as it seems, I'm sure you could have gone over to the club manager or one of the owners, expressed your displeasure. requested a refund, and left for greener pastures (if you could've found any).

There's a manager at Gold Coast in Detroit who makes sure the dancers are out and mingling, and on stage when they need to be. Some of the dancers grumble, but the place does run pretty smoothly most of the time. They had a rule a while ago that even if you were in a backroom private dance, you had to make your stage times; I think they've relaxed that.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do. Money talks.

Smart men know how to have a good time without having a negative impact on those around them.

Recently, I was in Key West at a bar with strippers. One guy in particular is a personal favorite and

I'm sure I've been a little too generous with him over several years. Let's just say, when I walk in

his eyes light up. Hey, it's Key West and I like to have fun....shoot me!

Anyways, this last trip he was on me like white on rice. I noticed a younger dude sitting near us who

is clearly not happy that I'm dominating this particular stripper's time. I gently try to steer my stripper

boy over to him, but it's not working. Again....white on rice.

So after watching this cute younger dude pout for a little while, I pay my stripper boy for a private and

send him off to give the paid for lap dance to the pouting dude. It was worth every penny just to see the

kids eyes light up when the stripper left my side and headed his way.

It was even more worth it when the stripper informed him of what was happening. You could tell he was

hesitant at first but after a reassuring nod from me and a gentle tug by the stripper towards the back room,

he gave in. Lets just say he left the bar a little while later with the biggest shit eating grin that I've seen in years.

So, there are ways to have fun in a stripper bar without pissing off the other patrons. Trust me.

Last time I was at Stock, I was chatting with a potential dancer. Another dancer came up to him and said something and bam, my dancer took his shirt off. I asked him what that was all about and he told me he forgot it is house rule that all dancers are shirtless after 9 pm.

I was at Stock as well this weekend after a year, and I, too, unfortunately hit both DL and Champagne Guy, LOL! They may be annoying, but I don't let it ruin my evening. DL is even more obnoxious at Campus, if that is possible! I still had a great time at Stock! The management certainly knows how to handle such patrons and try to keep a happy balance with all other patrons. It's not Stock's fault someone comes in and spends an obscene amount of money.

Anyway, enough on DL, he gets way too much time on this site, let's get to the dancers!!

I was lucky to meet several dancers, and all I can say is I didn't go home lacking! Stock always puts on the best in nude entertainment, which we seriously need here in the Ft. Lauderdale area after the closing of Swinging Richards.

Lucas: I can't say enough good things about him. He is incredible and fun both in the bar and out back. I swear I must have paid his rent and car payment this month!

Phillipe: Quiet in the bar, but gives one of the best strip shows I have ever seen. This kid is intense on stage! He is also fun out back.

Carl: Another fun guy in the bar and great out back. Another one who knows what to do on stage.

Jacob: Practically perfect

David: Incredible body, especially hios legs.

Wolf: Another guy who has a killer body and great personality.

JD: looking better than ever, but left before we did a lapdance

Thierry: Incredibly sexy in bar and great show. Really nice guy who has great lapdances

There were about three to four others who's names I forget, but all in all, you won't go home unsatifsfied. There is no reason to let other patrons ruin your night. The dancers that congregate to them are usually set free by midnight. Just be there to pick up the pieces, LOL!!!!

I agree with you that Stock is by far the best male strip club in the world. When Stock is at its best it is brilliant. You can't beat the sight of three hot dancers performing stage together naked from head to toe, nor two dancers who aren't shy to touch each other working the crowd in the shower. That's why I don't want to see standards slip as I felt they did on Friday. Given many of Stock's patrons specifically travel to Montreal to go there (and not everyone goes for private shows), people are going to be disappointed if it becomes inconsistent.

Successful businesses set high standards and consistently stick to them. That's what I'd like Stock to do.

For the record, I have seen trio/shower shows advertised by Stock in the past.

How about the Champagne guy? He was there last night, drinking champagne with several dancers.

Yes I saw him on Saturday. He had a table towards the back and had Jo. JP and a couple of other dancers with him for most of the night.

He looked like he was having a good time and got all of the dancers standing around him to drop their jeans and underwear to the floor!
