The Patti Smith Group. Like others, I bought her first album the day it dropped. I saw her at a night club in New York City, Brooklyn Academy of Art and opening for U2 at Madison Square Garden.

 

Patti was great in singing Dylan at the Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm.

I saw them at a local Root and Blues festival a few summers ago. Only 1,000 people in the audience and I was able to get right up to the front.
