The idea of a battle b/w Superman and Batman is asinine. Yes, I understand that Batman is smarter, but you can't outsmart a fast and fatal blow to the head.

From what I've seen in the previews, the battle (at least visually) takes a lot from the end of "The Dark Knight Returns", in which Superman's already been weakened by a nuclear blast, and Batman comes armed with a host of aids; including a battle suit powered by Gotham's electrical grid, missiles, and synthesized Kryptonite.

I thought the same thing until some kid put me in my place by telling me about the comic book version of this plot. Having no experience with comic books, I felt old and out-of-touch.
