Had a rough day at work today. What do you do to process a bad day? Note, I don't do booze. :).

Hmmm. Well if you're feeling a little ambitious in the kitchen, nothing's better than a couple grilled cheese sandwiches (use three kinds of cheese if you have them) and some tomato soup. Warms and feeds the soul -- and perhaps brings back good memories of when you were a kid. :)

I'm sorry about the rough day, amused. Sometimes a good cry helps. Posting here can help; just keep the information vague enough so that it can't be used against you, even if you were identified.

It's easy to feel like you're the only person going through something difficult. But then I stumble onto something on Quora or elsewhere and realize that there were/are others very similar to me who are in similar circumstances.

I play piano and sing. If neither of those is right for you, do something else creative... Cooking, writing, drawing, drumming, throwing pots, anything that commands and holds your mind, while allowing your emotions to wander and seek expression....

Or.... Gun range, and Dairy Queen

A friendly hug from me.

I play really deep and depressing music.

My college roommate used to call it my "suicide music".

After I've spent a few hours really exploring and dwelling on my misery....

I switch to aggressive punk music, slam against the walls and rage like there's no tomorrow.

By the end of it, I'm usually hoarse from screaming lyrics, drenched in sweat, naked, and gasping for air.

Then I watch hardcore S&M porn and beat off like a crazed monkey.....

Then I go to bed.

The next day...the world is never as bad as it was the night before....and I keep going.

It works for me!....YMMV

I spend extra time with and give extra attention to my dog. Usually go for a long walk with her or play time, then chill with her on my lap. Only works if you already have a pet naturally. If not...some cheesecake (or other comfort food) usually does the trick. :)
