Yeah there are definitely zealots out there who work really hard to eliminate all the "gen" profiles and posts. I never understood why they were so religious about it..

They made Craigslist a lot less fun ??

You’ve got to keep up....he just got booted off Seeking.com

No actually i don't need to "keep up". I don't have a compulsion to scan the site looking for opportunities to more often than not comment with the primary intention of trying to belittle posters or find faults. And i typically really limit my snarky comments to my friends for us to laugh together about something because we're friends having fun, not strangers when there's no other purpose of a comment, except to be snarky. And yes to be clear. I am 100% aware that i am being hypocritical and actually contradicting myself in a few ways by submtting this post publicly.

I made my original comment based on someone who seemed to articulate that he was happy with using a service. I don't spend my waking hours monitoring posts and even some that i read and choose to participate in, it doesn't mean even then i need to read everything in its entirety all the time.

In any case i made my comment and had not seen at that time, that he was kicked off. My bad, i could've used the past tense in my comment that it "worked well" for you in the past, but no longer since he got kicked off. But guess what? I stand by the substance of my original comment which was primarily about his satisfaction (on balance) of relationships that he had found. Yes there were some good and some bad but on balance he took the time to comment how he's liked it.

And for further evidence for you, of his satisfaction, that even after being kicked off he responded directly to that event and said.

"Oh well. So it goes. I’ve gotten a few good friends - platonic and otherwise - out of the experience so it’s all good."

My guess (just me speculating) is that after a period of time he could create a new profile with a different email address and go back to "Seeking", but in order not to run afoul of their rules and restrictions just tweak what he may or may not discuss over the site and take it off-line. But i digress.

But @MikeBiDude, thanks for the helpful suggestion. I'll certainly keep it in mind.

We have people on this very forum who “report” on Grindr or other venues where they make a (judgemental) call regarding guys looking for gen

Not me!

I specially quoted you but I guess you don't read much.

I'm only judgmental about guys desperately looking for acceptance (they never got on their "dating age" and bragging about paying 150 or less!

Thank you from bringing this up, you're the one who bump this thread from the past not me nor @samhexum

At first I thought Grindr for escorts would be a bad thing and that's why I was against it. After much thought, reading posts by other members and talking with a few escorts I think I was wrong and Grindr would be a good thing for escorts.

  1. Hiring or not is a big step in life we all have crossed at a different type and for different reasons. Grindr might be a way to make some folks hire someone they can't have for free because he's "out of their league". Later on that client after a few good experiences paying and getting exactly what he wants, when he wants and without drama (and some not to so good times spending hours texting and getting blocked) will move on to hire from RentMen.com.
  2. I still think most of the guys offering money on Grindr do it because it might be cheaper and it's almost like hooking up, yet they're hiring... This might get rid of the guys asking for a 30 mins rate and other bottom feeders who after BP was shut down started harassing escorts on Rentmen.com
  3. Caveat emptor: some folks start using it to attract men with fake pictures and mugging them if they don't give their wallet. Something like this happen a few blocks from my place at a hotel called Dorchester House to a well-known lawyer. I think it was either Back Page or Craigslist.

An escort recently posted that in Europe guys on Grindr are using diamond symbols to announce they are available to anybody who wants to pay. What if Grindr uses the system of Adam4Adam* and makes sure those advertising as escorts and making a profit from their site have one free account to have fun with their neighbors, and a paid one to be hired by other mostly older and out of shape men?

*After Sesta and Fosta I'm sure they'll never do it.

It’s as if Gladys Kravitz and donald trump spawned a creepy old busybody with too much time on her hands that can only make her point by subverting or insulting others and spewing misleading statements. No wonder they celebrated when she “hiked” off the other site lol.

Wow.. that's harsh :( What terminology do you think triggered it?

I think my suspension and perhaps others mentioned here are due to “sugar babies” being vengeful.

I recently reported one sugarbaby for trying to have an online only arrangement, by sending me videos and pictures. That also violates the TOS, and I reported him. Yesterday I reported a confirmed (by his own admission) underage guy...who I notice was promptly back online 24 hours later with a different profile, which I ignored. Possibility for revenge reporting.

I’ve been on the site almost two years and very active....I find it hard to believe that suddenly my language/patter has changed, I’m more inclined to think I was reported. I’ve applied for reinstatement as this was my first “offense”, we shall see!

good luck with reinstatement ?

wow.. that's a little scary about the revenge aspect. i haven't encountered that on the site yet.. but I'm not super active on it. and i let my premium membership lapse recently - so can't read messages ?

Stop reporting... live and let live!

I reported a couple of guys on Grindr but I stopped doing it.... amateur guys on Grindr willing to do it for $100 save escorts from being bothered by bottom feeders who end up becoming No-shows.

I'm shocked about how much S.A. wants to deny the obvious... Sugar daddy = long term client

I'm pretty sure SA knows what's going on.. but they're just trying to stay on the safe side of the gray fuzzy area :-)

Agree...they are being careful of legal entanglements. But, I would also suggest they are trying to protect their legitimate business model? I’ve talked to many sugar babies (mainly female) whoever actually had success at the type of “arrangement“ the site purports to market. Apparently and via personal conversations the daddy/female sugar baby vs. daddy/male sugar model is actually quite popular, without a lot of strings attached

Many, many of the males I made contact with on the site, found out about it and tried it based on a female friend telling them about the arrangements. They seem to be a little surprised (less so than females) that consensual sex may be involved.

Albeit a small piece of it...there are real “arrangements” being made via Seeking.com.

Well, I thought the whole thing sounded kinda lame but I had a little time on my hands so I created a profile. I can't say I found much in the first few days: twinks, fakes, flakes, the usual assortment of game players. Then I met a guy who is an aspiring fitness model based in Toronto. I took a leap of faith and flew him to New York. Well, we just spent the better part of the past 10 days at my place in CT. It was amazing. He's 23, ripped, beautiful, and for this initially visit all he wanted was his airfare and other expenses covered.

So, perhaps, it's not a bad site after all. It was worth the $70 initial fee.

Your story gives hope to all at affordable price!!!

I'm not sure if Grindr follows up on things anymore since they've been sold. It seems to that in the old days, if you reported scammers, they deleted the account. I reported several over the last few months And nothing has ever been done to them.

I think they don’t even care about guys using it to sell drugs.

So...is this subtle enough?

Hi! I'm looking for somebody to have some fun with, who is willing to give me a little extra cash in exchange for my time. I don't want something that feels transactional, I'd love to meet someone I can really talk to. I'm very adventurous and outgoing, and love almost all forms of entertainment, fine dining, or exciting experiences of any kind. Don't be shy!”

The hypocrisy of the SA management is surprisingly different from what I’d expect. (I.e., when there’s money involved I expect hypocrisy... just of a different sort.) Their customers - those who pay for subscriptions - are very heavily scrutinized and messages monitored.

But the content posted by the free members seems to have few boundaries:

  • I'm naturally submissive, loyal to people close to me, and attentive to other's needs. I currently live at home, and I'm having trouble with rent and going to school full time, so I need a bit of discreet assistance.
  • I’m everything that makes a good time worthy. I’m versatile, submissive and ready to be paid for. I’m here to have a good time with you as well. If you think we could have some sort of good conversation and sexual chemistry; I’d love to be a part of something interesting. I’m a poet, and an emotional bitch; I’ve got daddy issues that I wouldn’t mind discussing
  • Not looking for anything serious or committed, just looking for a daddy (or mommy) to have some fun with. A weekly allowance would be ideal, and we can discuss what I can do on my end to keep you happy. Message me and we can hash out the details, baby. Let's make your fantasies realities. ?
  • I'm looking for sexual encounters either one time or many times. I'm happy to go on dates with you. I can be a little kinky so if you are that's a plus, just give me a list of what you're into to make sure I'm okay with it. With men I'm a bottom but be sure to go slow ?
  • Tall, Black, and hung here... Not into back n forth just looking for someone serious with ???
  • Very athletic, fit, young man who is well endowed. I currently go to college and need help getting through financially, hit me up ;). I'll do anything for some money, let me know what you have in mind.
  • Let’s break the ice over a Private lunch upon arrival to find something suitable for the night: Toys? Gangs? Jockstrap? Handcuffs? Strawberry syrup? It gives me a chance to figure out a little more about your fantasies and kinks. What gets you going? What keeps you going?

Etcetera.

I would have guessed they would be willing to look the other way for those who write their paycheck.
