There’s been some discussion about hotels lately, aside from just whether to meet in the lobby or at the door. I'm thinking more of the efforts to have hotel staff report “suspicious” activity to law enforcement. http://www.companyofmen.org/threads/homeland-security-out-of-control-again.111082/ Just today, I also noticed an editorial in my local paper encouraging hotel workers to be “attuned” to what’s may be going on around them. http://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/editorials/broaden-awareness-and-engage-communities-on-sex-trafficking/ While most of this seems directed at nonconsensual/trafficking situations that no one would condone, it is easy to imagine how it could be extended to other situations.

So my question is, have you ever had a problem with hotel staff? Been questioned by the manager about your business at the hotel? Had the maid in the hallway give you a cold, knowing stare as you knock on or open the door?

I realize this issue has been addressed a few times in years past: http://www.companyofmen.org/threads/hotel-security.89103/, http://www.companyofmen.org/threads/hotel-security.46982/, http://www.companyofmen.org/threads/hotels-motels-and-holiday-inns.47302/#post-437148.

But maybe with recent government crackdowns, we should revisit the question?

I think it is a good thing that HS looks into sex traffic and prostitution involving minors. However, an intrusion into someone's personal life is ... not acceptable. I think the HS training of hotel staff, referenced above, is a storm in a tea cup. Realistically, how many hotels are there in the USA? How MANY hotel staffers would need to be trained? WHO pays for the training? HOW OFTEN does this training need to be repeated (given turnover rates in hotel staffing)?

This effort has unsurmountable practical issues ... and therefore is likely to die a quiet death.

10 years hiring always hosting at a hotel. Never had an issue - knock on wood. I believe @Kurtis Wolfe is 100% right- no hotel staff member in their right mind will mess with frequent stayers - yet another perk for such programs! The other thing I do is to choose LGBT friendly hotels where no one will bat an eye at two men meeting in a lobby, hugging, dining, having a drink at the bar (not that I do that so much). I agree with @BaronArtz too... This too shall pass for us. I do hope it works for the egregious behaviors it is really meant to address.

I've never had a problem.

In fact sometimes they've helped...

Once in London the concierge saw me meet an escort in the lobby in the afternoon.

It was a complete dud of a meeting. Later I went down to set up a business dinner

reservation with the same concierge. During our conversation he said something to

the effect of "I hope I'm not being impolite but I happen to know the gentleman you

were doing "business" with earlier today, sir. I can't imagine that was a very successful

meeting....I'm SURE I can find you a better business "partner" than that ...say around 11 pm?"

The guy he sent was fantastic! In fact, he ended up staying for 2 days and everyone got HUGE tips.

Another time in NYC I hired a rentboy/masseur late one night. He arrived at the hotel carrying

his massage table and dressed a bit inappropriate for the upscale setting. Not 5 minutes after

his arrival my doorbell rang. It was the butler. He was standing there with extra towels,

fresh sheets, a robe from the spa and a bottle of heated massage oil. He smiled and said ...

"I wasn't about to let you lay on HIS sheets...sir. I hope you enjoy the "massage". Please

let me know and I will be happy to come clean up afterwards". I almost passed out.

The opposite is also true. Sometimes we can help the hotel staff. Here is a story I am not totally proud of. A few years ago, I booked an incall with an escort at one of the Hilton hotel properties in Manhattan. Not only did the guy misrepresent himself, he tried to rip me off. Thankfully, I got out of that situation unscathed and without paying a penny. Here is what I did. I left the hotel, and called hotel security. I basically said: 'do you know that the guest in room XYZ is using your room for prostitution? I can email you all the supporting documentation.'. So I did email the security staff all the links to this rentboy (at the time) and backpage ads. They thanked me profusely, threw the gentleman in question out of his room and sent me an email with a complimentary voucher for a cocktail at their bar.

Nobody messes with the Baron.

I personally haven't ran into any issues entertaining clients in my hotel room. Generally the hotels I stay at have an elite / rewards program that I utilize like crazy ( especially in the past few months ). While the hotel staff hates dealing with elite members, they know not to screw around with those guests because it only leads to headaches later on. You'd be surprised what a strongly worded email will get you these days. In regards to housekeeping, a nice tip will go a long way.

But in regards to the recent training for hotel staff, this article provides a bit more insight into what they're looking for: http://viewfromthewing.boardingarea.com/2016/01/12/homeland-security-trains-hotel-workers-to-see-something-say-something-about-your-in-room-habits/ ( Btw, one of my favorite blogs if you want to get into the points / miles game )

For the most part, the only thing that would apply to me in that list would be the frequent use of the "Do Not Disturb" sign. Everything else for the most part seems to be targeted at true sex trafficking, especially in the case of minors. If anything, just don't checkin with this South Korean pop band, http://reason.com/blog/2015/12/14/asian-women-profiled-as-sex-workers

I usually entertain at home - even visitors - I will pick them up or send a car -- my home is large comfortable with things you wont get at a hotel - Firelaces stone party showers - garden - WAY to much gear to schlep to the Ramada Goat Plaza ----- For kink play I have "Leatherette Play Sheets" but at a Hotel --How do you get your sheets changed multiple times a day????? And all those towels? 2 Gallons of Lotion?

Is just a generous tip enough to take care of you and your clients needs?

I may be a pig - BUT Clean sheets are a must not gonna rut in another pigs cum spit snot ass-juice lubed sheet ==== Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

If either of these situations happened for me I think I would be so nervous and just run the other way..but way to go!

In a hotel in Chile, where I was attending a conference, I ordered room service late at night. A very cute guy came to deliver my order, and he was a little more than flirtatious with me. He was hot, so I decided to take the plunge and, bingo, bingo, bingo, we ended up doing the deed. He told me that if I ever wanted a repeat session, I should call room service in the late evening and order a bucket of ice. He would then know that I wanted his "special services", and he would come to my room for a suck and fuck. Secret code. I stayed there for about a week and, believe me, the ice supply in the hotel reached record lows. The kid was just gorgeous, sweet and, inexplicably, very much into me....I had the greatest time!

A friend was a night clerk in a motel in a small Southern university town when he was a college student. He made a point of walking the property, and looking through the open curtains. He said he caught guys masturbating frequently and some regulars did it every time they stayed. Eventually, he started spending the night with the customers when he got off at 11 PM. Made more cash horizontal than he ever did vertical. He also had and still has the largest cock I've ever seen on a man and he was only 5'2".

Maybe you didn't mean it this way, but "caught guys masturbating frequently?" They paid for the rooms and were free to do what they wish inside them in complete privacy.

Your friend, on the other hand, was lucky he didn't get caught looking into the rooms.

But it is a hot fantasy, no? I was in Italy on a Choir Tour with a local Tech college and a local Roman Catholic Girls College. We were in Rome, at a residential hotel, WAY the hell out (off the maps, and next to the State Police, or whatever Carbinieri are ...).

The last night, I was outside, having a CHurchill Cuban cigar, and noticed several people staring at the windows. One of the Men from the Tech College was doing something with someone ... a chorus of "Two Silhouettes on the Shade" followed at breakfast.

Your friend is lucky he never landed in jail.

Courts have frequently decided that guests in hotel rooms have a reasonable expectation of privacy. A hotel employee intentionally "walking the property" and peering into the windows is a peeping tom and should have been arrested.

Coincidentally, his name is TOM!
