Interesting thread. I got unsolicited PM here's twice, from a well reviewed escort whom I've actually met. But he doesn't know my handle here, so it was essentially to a stranger. I didn't appreciate it at all, and if fact have turned my off somewhat from repeats. I think it was the second PM that did it....I mean once was "ok"...but again is too much. And the interesting part is because I've hired him, I know he's got tons of work and not shortage of income, so this was purely for fame.

Isn't this like being Prom Queen or being valedictorian ? You shouldn't have to seek votes to win, the way you maintain yourself and the way you speak to people should be the reason they cast a ballot.

 

That's exactly what it is like being prom queen and has absolutely no real meaning. It's a beauty contest.

On the one hand, I wouldn't want to rub someone whom I had never met the wrong way by reaching out to him without being solicited in some way.

 

On the other hand, I doubt it would hurt my business. I doubt someone would say, I was going to meet X and vote for X, but now I'm going to meet Y or vote for Y instead because I don't like the way that X contacted me. If you are good enough to get away with asking for votes or asking a stranger to meet you when you're traveling to a certain city, more power to you. It's not the classiest thing to do, and I wouldn't personally do it in all but the rarest of circumstances, but I would think it more likely to spark interest than to deter people, that clients remember the experience they had with an escort much more than they do the solicitation.

 

I have a particular admiration for escorts who run their businesses like businesses. So somebody who solicited me - in the right way - would get major points. But, "in the right way" is very important. An escort solicited me in the wrong way not long ago and irreparably damaged his standing.

Well, yes actually. I thoroughly enjoy escort participation on the forum. I have gotten to know and like several escort participants from their public comments on a variety of topics and from personal communications. It puts a personality and an individual behind simply a handsome face. If these exchanges lead to my hiring the escort, what could be more natural? I like chatting with escorts on the forum. Why not?
