I feel that I am very trusting but if an escort needs my last name, then I need to know why. I have gone to hotels to meet escorts with a name and room number and they have called the room for me.

It is possible that a respectable looking gentleman like yourself showing up at the front desk might illicit trust enough for them to connect you using a first name, on the phone, however, 95 percent of hotels will ask the last name under which the room is registered. If you don't provide it, they will not connect you. End of story.

If I were rich and had all the time in the world I would be fine accepting calls that are not confirmed, go to the hotel and see if they will connect me or even see if there is anyone in that room. Sadly the reason for which I am running a business is because I am not independently wealthy and don't have all the time in the world. For that reason, I will only block a time on my schedule after I have spoken to my prospective client IN his room, through the hotel number., not to mention the fact that showing up at an unconfirmed room might be potentially dangerous. ALL hooker horror stories start like this.

Tell me, do you ask for your clients last name before meeting them?

I might have not been clear. I couldn't care less what is your last name. I am a hooker, for God's sake, I will forget your last name 30 seconds after you say it. I have absolutely no interest in your name. I am there to be with you, to look into your eyes and be present. A name will not change the way in which I relate to you. As far as I am concerned, you can tell me you are Marlene Dietrich and if that allows me to confirm that Ms Dietrich is inside that room and IS a guest, that's all I care about. I will call you, confirm the session and will show up when we agreed.

Same goes for first name. You'd be shocked of how many great Johns and Steves I know!

Must be tough to call the hotel room of Cher, Madonna, Pele and Rihanna.

That is correct. It is very though. Normally when visiting celebrities, all of their rooms are always registered under a different name and the hotel clerks will ALWAYS ask for that last name. There have been shocking exceptions but not many.

When you check into a hotel, add a second name to your room that only you know. Give this alias out to the nosy escort that demands your personal information. When he calls the hotel to verify your credentials, yes there will be a Mr. X registered to that hotel and you preserve your privacy. For an hour appointment you don't need to exchange real identities, unless you mutually agree to do so.

Great idea. Only I never had an escort ask me for my name before. It is unusual.

When I am meeting someone for the first time I never give out my name. I do realize how frustrating it must be for an escort to show up at a hotel only to find out it was a scam/flake/ prank, etc. But, it's a business.

There are minor risks in all business exhanges. But I stop at risking my personal name and safetly. That is a no-go for me. If an escort has had scam/flakes etc; and I am sure they have, they need to write it off as the risk of business.

It is not my role as the client to expose my personal info because some guy doing business doesn't want to risk an hour of their time if the date turns out to be a flake. The escort has my phone number, email and hotel name. Most likely we would have exchanged a few calls, texts and messages. I meet them in the lobby, buy them a drink and get a reading before I go ahead with the date. I think that is logical, safe and careful for both parties.

I also believe that most experienced escorts are really good at "reading" a potential waste-of-time person and weighing the option if they want to risk going to the hotel or not.

I am in business as I know many of us are. While I wish every deal I do is finanically justified and perfect it just doesn't always work. My accountant says that a business without any "bad debt" might be too calculated and therefore missing out on incresaing sales. His rule of thumb - 2% of the time the deal may not work. This is; ultimately, a business.

I've had two no call no shows in the Cleveland area. Im on high alert. Any new clients right now or in the next couple days, will be required to pay a deposit or im not leaving my house, kitchen or bed. Someone went as far as to make fake Facebook profiles, get fake T-Mobile numbers (wasn't even a texting app) the second time (last night) i herd a male giggling on the other side of the door.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

I asked myself whom I've pissed off or who i fucked over and the only person i can think of is the waiter at Melt, he really sucked so i only tipped 10% so maybe he's coming for me LOLOLOL.

I not only like this comment; I have to add that I like the idea of being forthright like AmEx. If your escort wants certainty meet your escort in the hotel lobby (or a public place convenient enough to you both), buy him a drink - soda is great too. Get a feel for each other. No need to give out your name and no need to lie to your companion -Lies just beget lies. By the way, an escort saying he doesnt care about someone's first and/or last name is beyond unbelievable. That comment actually sounds like a desperate attempt at trying to not lose face when challenged with logic.

PS -I've been hiring for more than a decade. Not once have I had an escort ask for a name. Not saying it is a bad idea, just not my experience.

Just to add further to the idea of never giving out your full name on the first meeting, how many escorts out there give out their full real name on their ad for clients to contact? So if there are several ways to make this win/win (adding second name, meeting in lobby/coffee shop), why the heck NOT????? In fact many hotels these days require key access for elevators, so meeting in lobby etc is almost a necessity and not paranoia!

It sounds like a great idea. I've never done this before. My question is are you allowed to have another name on the reservation of someone who hasn't actually checked in and submitted their ID. I can definitely imagine being able to do this prior to 9/11, but with security these days....

Ok, so guess what...I tried an experiment last night. Most of my NYC friends and select companions were our of town, so I decided to get a hotel room and begin testing these theories out. Front desk rep didn't even bat an eye when I said I wanted to add my buddy, John Ho :p to the room. I asked if it was ok to add his name without him checking in - she said "oh sure! Just have him stop by when he gets here" So much for security!

I hardly ever venture out and hire outside my portfolio, but like I said, my choice guys were out on holiday and...hey, I'm a ho...John Ho. I picked 4 very different guys: a cute hipster from Williamsburg, a hot Papi from da Bronx, a Chelsea stud, and a athletic "straight" guy from "somewhere in the City." All have reviews and a couple have established reputations in the forum. I scheduled them 1 hour in-between to avoid timing conflicts - plus enuff time for me to shower and do some sort of motivational calisthenics! Here is where it got interesting: NYC can be dangerous, plenty of freaks around, and definitely enough client and escorts who are flakes. Not one escort..not one of them - even Mr. Careful Straight- asked for my hotel room # until they got to the lobby or nearby, and not one asked for my full name. Actually only two asked me for my first name. one asked for a quick phone chat (to get a feel). Obviously this is not scientific, but I can't help but think that getting a full name is a practice only a few escorts use anymore - read carefully: I'm not saying it isn't legit, but I am saying it doesn't seem to be that common.

PS - Only the williamsburg hipster will get a review, he was a hottie and a sweetie. Others - meh! Also, I'd like to send a big thank you to Cliff, AmEx, Down to Biz, Tigger, and Juan for lighting a fire under my ass - and definitely inspiring me to make a dent into my wallet! ;)

TR.....I love the laboratory experimentation. You are definitely an accredited researcher at the institute.

As for the name ID info, the only escorts who have my full name are those with whom I travel and may need it for access to the room, reservations, charging items, access to amenities, fitness facility, etc. No one else ever asks or cares.

Of course you can Tigger. I have been using this method personally for several years without incident. It seems like almost every hotel I ever checked into kept asking me if I wanted to add anyone to my room when I was checking in. Then I thought... why not.

Wow Papi. Your a real man of science as well as a humanitarian.

I am concerned about the "fire under your ass" also. o_O You should see a doctor soon about that, considering. ;)

I haven't had guys ask my name so much. But they have definitely asked for the room number. And if they are trying to call back the room, to check that I am not scamming them, I think a lot of hotels nowadays won't connect you through the switchboard unless you know the guest's name.
