Hitchhikers: Can Anybody Give These Guys a Lift?

Sorry, folks, but as a Senior citizen who occasionally hitchhiked and even picked up an occasional hitchhiker during the early to mid-1970's, I would not give anybody I didn't know from a hole in the ground a lift,  much less hitchhike nowadays.  It's far too risky and it  deprives one of any control over what may occur if things go south, if one gets the drift.

Very practical advice, but one can still fantasize. 😁😋

The only 8400 block of 111 is down in Niland, on the east side of the Salton Sea. And that is exactly what this terrain looks like (are those the Santa Rosa Mtns in the far distance?).

geography nerd that I am....and with @Charlie's very helpful hint.......I found the corner (Beach and Hwy 111) on Google Street View just northwest of Niland, CA.....the big tree in the Street View (link below) is creating the shadow in the late afternoon picture of the guy hitching (walking the roads of the Coachella Valley apparently firms up one's butt!)......the 8400N address is based on a 0 starting point in either Brawley or El Centro.....the mountains in the distance are probably the Chocolate Mountains, east of Niland......the link here is safe......yup, I'm a nerd!!.......

Thanks for giving me another excuse to look at that photo again.
