.... you seem like a douchebag so I'm gonna pass."

That was a line from an escort I approached at A4A recently. I said "but how could you possibly know that? You haven't met me yet."

LOL. I'm sometimes amazed how some of these guys interact with people.

The escort was merely being considerate by telling you everything you need to know about him, thereby sparing you much time, frustration, and expense. Not the most profitable business plan, but better customer service than it might at first appear.

The response is to typical of how escorts respond to clients. They either don't respond or it is like how much money do you have and how little do I have to do for it?

I hope not...

I don't think this is a typical response. There are some who do respond in a less-than-considerate fashion, but in my experience most are very considerate.

Btw, this was the entirety of our conversation ...

Me: Just saw your ad. Liked your pics. I'm looking for ..... let me know if you're interested.

Escort: That sounds cool but to be honest you seem like a douchebag, so I'm gonna pass.

Not to sound contrary, I just read this and you do seem like a douchebag. I think it has to do with the extra dots in the ellipsis.

I don't know how you were brought up but I know when I was taught about being "considerate" it didn't include calling someone a "douchebag."

You need to get out more if you think that's what a douchebag sounds like. You sound like one of those kids who wants to be coddled at Yale.

Don't you just hate it when your sarcasm becomes so advanced that some people begin to think you are stupid? (Dots in the ellipsis---love it!)

Amazing how this even works in reverse: :D

Sarcasm

The ability to insult idiots without them realizing it.

Idiot: I beat up a ten year old today.

You: That's impressive! (with a hint of sarcasm)

Idiot: I know, right!

Could be that he made up his mind based on your A4A profile.

Exactly my thoughts also. Something must have set him off. Show us your a4a profile!

Still, it is inexcusable. The escort could simply have said 'sorry, not interested'.

Consider a simpler explanation. The guy is a jerk.

I will never understand how some Clients justify hiring a guy who doesnt even respond In complete sentences, comes off with an attitude, or takes weeks to even reply back. I mean for me that would be an Indication that the actual session would be less enjoyable/not taken seriously.

Methinks one doesn't know the meaning of the word "irony." LOL

For sure. But there are always 2 sides ...

I'm not sure what the side would be, in a business inquiry, that would involve calling the customer a "douchebag" after one simple inquiry. Other than total rudeness.

Occasionally, a person's online persona may have some rough edges that need to be smoothed.

You are correct, I was being sarcastic. So a gold star for that. Of course, if you were wrong and made that statement, that would be ironic.

Of course, that principal does not apply to anyone here in the Forum.
