As with all juices, Juicy Juice provides mostly empty calories, devoid of any nutritional value other than the Vitamin C they add. I generally advise people to minimize fruit juices in their diets due to these empty calories. It is especially harmful in children, where the 100 calories from a box of juicy juice provides a lot of calories without nutritional benefit. That being said, Juicy Juice is pretty natural and devoid of additives. The only chemicals added are natural ones, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), and malic acid (malic acid occurs naturally in all fruits and many vegetables, and is generated in fruit metabolism).

WELL, thanks for the correction! Heck I enjoy being "corrected"! In any event, 22 grams of sugar is indeed something I would consider to be a hidden sugar!

At any rate, I actually meant to reference Hi C, realized it afterward, but had much more important things to do than run back here to correct it...

INGREDIENTS: HI-C FRUIT PUNCH (Pure Filtered Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Orange and Pineapple Juices from Concentrate, Less Than 0.5% of each: Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Potassium Sorbate)

Still, I guess some people here are sticklers for accuracy. Not necessarily a bad thing, so Unicorn gets the prize.

Let's just say after decades as a general dentist I saw the effects of both Jucy Juice and Hi C and they were not pretty. Some people have no clue... as in the case where Jucy Juice being all natural the parent thought that the kid did not have to brush afterwards... Go figure. I think that's why I inadvertently referenced JJ!

I'm not a gym person. I've tried a number of times but I found it to be boring and repetitive zzzzzzzzz. I enjoy a good walk. I get to see things and experience new things. Chicago is an amazing walking city especially walking the neighborhoods. Often times I'll be walking through a neighborhood and see random pieces of art or admire the architecture. Plus I am a block and a half from the beach and walking path. The views, billion dollar!

Congrats, seaboy! Sounds like you lost the weight slowly, which means you're more likely to keep it off.

I enjoy walking too, and it's my main source of exercise (other than bouncing around my apartment). Thing is, I'd like a nice round butt, which walking can't do. Time to drag my furry butt to a barre class.

Has anyone here succeeded in developing his glutes so that his butt is rounder instead of just bigger?

The first escort I hired many moons ago had an amazingly round melon-like butt. I asked what his secret was. He said that it was a trick that he learned from a female beauty queen. You flex your "cheeks" as you walk. Seemed simple enough, but I never did try it. It's definitely worth giving it a shot!

Resistance training will make your glutes rounder/bigger. I used to have sort of a flat butt. Now it's perky and round. I started out doing bodyweight squats. I worked up to 4 sets of 50 for a total of 200, which I did about 3x week. I did that for a long time - 1.5 - 2 years.

I was afraid to do resistance training because I've had two spine surgeries. Eventually, I took the plunge - started with a single set of 8 with no added weight on the bar. It's been 2. 5 years, but I have worked up to five sets with total resistance of 95 # for the first set to 235# for the last set.

I followed the same sort of approach with deadlifts.

Squats and deadlifts will give you the butt you're looking for.

Have a trainer teach you how to do them with proper form.

Thanks for posting this. I had stopped because of lower back issues, but there might be hope based upon your past history.

I'll give it a shot with with some very light weights to start and see what happens.

For what it's worth...rebuilding my saggy ass was a problem, because I can't do squats anymore, the knees just couldn't take it, so I do leg presses and hamstrings twice a week, and the 'glute machine'....I think it's working, gravity is a bitch.

I wish it were just gravity, but gravity is indeed a part of it and it especially works it's "magic" when all the elasticity is lost in whatever is left of your carcass... Or is that carc-ass?

Well that reminds me of another reason I stopped doing squats, my right knee. Well I'll give it a shot with some light weights. Of course leg presses aggravate my botched hernia. There's not much left to comfortably do. While I do a lot of arobic work on a stationary bike, it's not the same, but it helps.

One, I've cut high fructose corn syrup out of 98% of my diet.

I have experienced similar weight loss by eliminating sugar from my diet. After watching "That Sugar Film", I now better understand the physiology behind the health issues caused by sugars being added to our food. http://thatsugarfilm.com/app/

There is also an app called THAT SUGAR APP to calculate the amount of sugar you are consuming. This easy to use tool converts the total sugar in everyday food and beverage products to ‘teaspoons’ that can be added to a daily tally to help you monitor and moderate your sugar intake.

Has anyone taken the opportunity to watch the movie "That Sugar Film"?

Or even body weight squats. Don't underestimate the potential in bodyweight exercise. There is a gorgeous young gay guy who works out at my gym - never picks up a weight. He does nothing but real killer bodyweight exercise - pistols, wipers, hindu pushups, that sort of thing. He's just beautifully muscled. No matter how many times I see him, I sort of catch my breath every time.
