Hey comrades,

Below is a article on a man who was blackmailed by the escort he hired.

I hope this isn't a trend.

There are several lessons for clients that can be learned from this unfortunate tale.

Damn! This guy looks just like me.

I'd say this makes 2 for 2 that escorts that snitch get busted. Jarec Wentworth's embezzling ass has ended up in jail. He might get raped a lot. Sends a pretty clear message to me.

No one in a sane, non-lusty moment would hire that guy.

You'd think that... but, on the other hand, someone married that guy. (There's a TV news report online in which both the escort and his husband are interviewed.)

It raises the question of whether, generally speaking, clients are choosier than spouses. ("I could look at your ugly mug for a lifetime... but not for an hour.")

I'm surprised he actually paid for sex with that guy. I would have spent a little more for someone more attractive.

How much was he paid?....I have to say that the escort or what ever he is has a certain masculine vibe..If he was turned out a bit better he could be quite handsome..in a dangerous way..What does he sound like?...all traits not being equal if he is hung huge that catapults him to a different level..Looking at the mayor makes me think they both needed something other than a bath...but that bath would be first...

Uh huh. Based on my observation of married couples, the institution has never been primarily about looks, or a lot of folks would have remained single, as am I.

Ugh there's NOTHING good about this story. (except the obvs lesson to always be careful and the equally obvs you gotta SHOP AROUND in the Hoosier State for a decent looking scort:eek:) IDK bout anyone else but I'd pay to NOT have sex with THAT guyo_O)

I suppose the lesson learned is not to wear your 'Mayor of Batesville' badge before hiring on the cheap.

Serious I wonder why there is so much more sympathy on this forum for Geithner than for this small-town Mayor. Is it because Geithner was handsome, gracious and high-end? I had the same reaction myself (sympathy for Geithner, ridicule for the Mayor), but don't know if that's fair. Doesn't seem like either guy deserves to be exposed for what is implicitly a very private transaction.

I think the difference is that the mayor picked a pretty hideous looking escort who has "trouble" written all over him. Geithner's choice is known on this forum, but just by looking at him one would not suspect he is a wack-job. Finally, the mayor was not "outed" by a gossippy blog as was Geithner.

From my perspective, the principal difference between this story and Geithner's is how the information became public. In Geithner's case, he wasn't charged with a crime that then became public knowledge; a sleazy website decided to aid and abet an escort who was trying to blackmail him. In this case, the story has gotten out because of law enforcement involvement.

To give the escort his due, most booking photos are pretty awful. I've been listening to an ongoing case here in Detroit about the ACLU asking for booking photos under the Freedom of Information Act. They were denied on the grounds that "most booking photos are embarrassing", and it's gone to court. There's Nick Nolte's infamous booking shot (for DUI, I think?), but I think it was at the point he was shooting "Hulk" and his character was supposed to look like a homeless guy.

I thought that picture was of the client. It seems inconceivable that there would be any mayor anywhere who could not upgrade from this particular escort. I was once given the advice that it is as easy to fall in love with someone who is rich as it is to fall in love with someone who is poor. While I am not sure that is true, it is true that it is only a tad more expensive to be blackmailed by an escort who is hot than to be blackmailed by this guy.

Where was the blackmail? It's just a simple case of "the stupid".

Hi Killian,

Below is a cut and paste of the article with emphasis mine. It looks like blackmail to me. And I'm still a fan of yours. :)

"Fledderman told police that the other man realized he was a public official and demanded $500 for his silence, claiming he had DNA evidence of their encounter. Wigle-Stevens admitted he saw a badge reading “Mayor of Batesville” and that he called Fledderman several days later asking for $250 more for the extra two hours they spent discussing politics at the mayor’s house."

Maybe Geithner was innocent?
