I could imagine the right sort of person flying an escort in for an hour. I have known a couple of different people who were very impulsive and who had the money to gratify nearly any impulse they might have. I knew a guy years ago who was known for taking a group of people to Las Vegas at the drop of a hat. They would be drinking at some bar, he'd say let's all go to 'Vegas, they would taxi to the airport, no packing, no nothing, and board the next flight to Las Vegas. Someone like that might fly an escort in for an hour appointment.

Is there something to be fancied about flying in versus other means of transportation? I think on a grand scale of things, many have flown, railed, driven, or rode for hourly appointments...but assumes that there will be other appointments in the piping.

 

I personally wouldn't want to fly in for a 1 hour appointment. It'd take me atleast an hour to recover from the trauma of TSA, long lines, and atmospheric pressure changes.

I'm just poking fun here, but I'm curious. You say a "remote" part of hill country. But to fly, there's Austin and SA airports. It sounds like there would be some rental car, Uber, or picking up from the airport involved. Or is it a direct flight to your house?

 

I ask because I had a client give me an example of "remote" in Alaska....it's where you fly to either Anchorage or Fairbanks or Juneau. Then, gets on another flight which drops you off in the wilderness because it can't be accessed by ground transportation. Definitely don't have the luxury to leave the same evening. It'll be 2 weeks before there will be phone signal.

 

Then, there's remote like the 117 mile no services drive halfway between Denver and Las Vegas.

I haven't be flown for an hour in Europe per se (if we don't count the high-speed train), but I have been flown from Brussels to San Francisco and to Hong Kong (twice for an overnight).

Generally speaking, no. But it's going to depend on a few factors: New or repeat client? (I'm less inclined to fly to a new client unless he has bought my ticket.) Is the client paying my airfare? Am I flying to a city where I have other clients (who can host)?

Last year I was at O'hare - struck up conversation with a young man from Morocco

 

I flew to Newark - lol and behold that same fellow shows up again within 2 miles

 

I brought up the subject of FWB and it turns out he's a Continental flight attendant

 

At that time - United / Continental flight attendant unions had not merged - so he could only work Continental flights

 

As a result - He flew twice to the Carolinas for an overnight - at no charge

 

Worked out well for both of us

I don't fly anywhere for an hour session.

 

I work for time, so my rule is I don't take sessions that demand me to travel longer than the session itself. Even if I am going to a suburb and have to be in a cab for a two hours round trip, the minimum session I accept will reflect that.

 

That means I will fly for an overnight in Northamerica, as long as I don't have to connect many flights and spend two days travelling, and will go farther for a weekend session.

I don't think I'd fly for an hour long appt. It takes that long to get to the airports then going through the gestapo check point etc. It just wouldn't be worth the time and hassele. If its for an over night which I've done a couple times then yes I would.

Juan has had his say, and that is entirely reasonable. Unless you were paying the transport costs I would say it was unreasonable to expect any escort to fly in for one hour, but some may. What is far more likely is that you will find an escort who is prepared to fly, or travel, to where you are for a couple of days, look for whatever clients he can obtain during the time and see you as one of those clients.
