You have the directness of Steven Draker, late of this parish. But similarities abound, and they are no indication of connection.

There was no shortage of connection

This is true. During the summer months, and especially so during August, many boys leave the city to travel. Actually Barcelona as a whole closes down mostly during August as many of the people who live there go on vacation to less hot climates. Best times seem to be spring and late Summer (September) and Fall.

I have been in Barcelona for nearly 2 weeks and have visited Thermas about 9 or 10 times. This trip certainly puts paid to the idea that Thermas is quiet in August. This is my 5th visit to Barcelona and the sauna has been very active with a wonderful array of talent. If this August is anything to go by don’t hesitate to go during this month.

Any new ones worth mentioning?

The proprietors of Thermas do not lack a sense of humour. There is a sign at the entrance that states that prostitution on the premises is not permitted.

Maybe not just for yuks … while charging and paying for sex are both legal (only in the sense that they are not explicitly illegal) in Spain, the Spanish legal system has stiff penalties for pimping, brothel ownership, or profiting from another person’s sex work in any way.  That sign, while humorous to both clients and providers, might be the owner’s legal out.

I will be at Thermas — finally! — on Wednesday.  Although I’ll be in la ciudad condal until Saturday morning, Wednesday is my only free day.  Only one question for the regulars and semiregulars:  are one’s belongings safe in the locker?  No reports over these many pages of anything stolen from the lockers, but since I will be bringing my wallet stuffed with 50€ bills, I was hoping to hear some reassurance.

Yes, very safe on lockers. The providers locker is on the other side and they dont  go to your side of locker area. You pay them on the small toilet in the middle beside the reception. The locks is one that only close/open with a key
