As one who despises the trend in long baggy swimwear and shorts... I say bring on the speedos!!!!! There was a time when a "modest" bathing suit was about 13 inches in length... Now they flop below the knees! AWFUL! ATROCIOUS!

People should be able to wear that with which they fee comfortable... If it is not something that one would want to see... and at times that might be the case... Simply look the other way...

Agreed completely.

I was a lifeguard in college at a private swim club. One of the members was a professional model and he would come with his expecting wife and son regularly. When not in the water, he CHOSE to wear some loosely fitting runners shorts. But when he went in the water to swim laps, he was usually wearing a small white speedo-type swimsuit. It was nearly transparent when he go out of the water! However, he would walk over to his pool chair and wrap a towel around his waist.

I was fortunate enough to be asked to give his 3-year-old son private swimming lessons, so I got to know him fairly well. He made it clear to me that while he preferred the comfort of the smaller suits, he covered up when not swimming. Not because he felt the need because it was a family environment, but more to minimize his wife having to overhear other women talk about his package.

At an apartment complex I lived in in my 30's, there was a guy (very well built) laying out by the pool wearing a very small orange speedo, possibly even a thong. He was sleeping on a chaise lounge and must have been having a pretty erotic dream, because he was getting hard and it was very apparent - the top of his suit was starting to stretch away from his body and show the top of his cock. More and more people were moving their chairs closer for a good look. No complaints from anyone. He finally woke up and adjusted himself, but I always wondered if he was really sleeping, or faking it and just getting off on the attention.

Wow. I just looked at the list of escorts in Rentboy for Denver, and what they lack in quantity, they sure make up for in quality. I would trade Denver's list of 15 escorts for SF's 115 any day. Forget pot! I can think of a better reason to go to Denver for a Rocky Mountain High!

I don't particularly think a skimpy Speedo is appropriate for a Family Park. On the other hand' date=' I don't think a skimpy female bikini is appropriate either. [/quote']

You must be joking, I hope.

Why would I be kidding? I'm totally serious. Call me an old fogey, but with TV, movies, music videos, and society in general, children are being oversexualized at too young an age.

When I was a young teen, my mom bought me a Speedo and then wondered why I wouldn't wear it. I had to tell her, but I didn't want to: It made my thing show!

I have the feeling that's the problem people had with Colter's Speedo. While I agree with Gar1eth that children are way oversexualized these days -- something I feel have the basis for an opinion on as the mother of a twenty year old daughter -- I disagree that Colter's swimsuit is part of the problem.

As for his location: He was living in Denver, Colorado. I thought he'd relocated to Louisville, but maybe that's only temporary. In any case, he's from Louisville originally and I believe his mother still lives there.

I know all this because I follow his Twitter account. And yes, I'm a fan.

Waterparks and theme parks are private property kids. Your 'right' to do anything is at management's will.

it's an at-will status and they can ask anyone, for any reason, to leave immediately. Something tells me he orchestrated this whole story anyway, which really is odd that someone would go this far out of their way for this kind of attention

File this one under "any publicity is good publicity." Although his face looks familiar, I didn't really know who Jessie Colter was prior to this recent kerfuffle. But after seeing the pics of his damn-near-perfect body & cock, I'd definitely consider hiring him. Oh, and of course I'd insist that he model the scandalous Speedo.

Well, forgive me but I find a little bit absurd thinking that a speedo can "oversexualize" children! I grew up in Italy. At beaches, public and private pools, at water parks I have seen speedos since I was 3, which is definitely more than few years ago. And from the 80s on, many women at least on beaches and pools go topless.

And women breast feed their babies without any horrified look around. Never felt oversexualized, but felt it was absolutely normal. The main problem is that in USA wilt all the sexual contest of so many things, people still cry scandal if a woman shows her nipple during a pop concert, but say nothing with all the violence that pours out from children cartoons, and TV in general. I agree that music videos can definitely be oversexualized but...speedos?.....

Well on me a speedo would be anything but sexually arousing. In fact it would probably be a great ad for celibacy and for a big resurgence in an 1890's style swimming suit for both men and women. But in Jesse's case a form fitting/skintight speedo probably outlined his very large tallywacker and possibly his scrotum too as well as hugging his ass. Showing too much is also true of overly small bikinis too.

Other species rely more on hearing or smell. But we humans are mainly visual. If the sight of our sexual organs didn't attract us then why is pornography such a big seller? It's not for the storyline in most cases. You may not agree. But it's true- in the same way that news of violence and violent video games can numb people to true suffering.
