What? No review?

I've had something on my mind for awhile to ask the folks here: Why didn't you write a review about that escort?

My partner and I started hiring escorts not too long ago in the Miami Beach area. The uncertainty of the whole process was a real challenge for us at the start. We worried about guys advertising as escorts who weren't on the level, trying to scam us, showing up drunk or high, and of course, we worried about law enforcement. The information we learned here about how to check out the guys has been invaluable. And we do check them out thoroughly. And then double check. If there is any red flag (or even a yellow flag) about an escort's information, we won't contact him. We also rely on the reviews here before deciding who to contact. Even with the reviews, we've learned to consider whether the information in a review might (or might not) be reliable. Sure, there won't be fireworks every time we get together with an escort. As long as we are dealing with human beings, that's going to be a wild card. But bottom line -- we mostly just want to make sure that we are dealing with an honest, professional, escort before we make contact with him.

I've noticed in various comments that someone will post in response to an inquiry in a thread that a particular escort was great, or that the inquirer should try contacting a particular escort who is highly recommended. But then I look and there is no review posted about that escort. Or, I see comments in the threads that an appointment was set up with an escort who never never showed up. But there is no review posted about that experience with the escort.

I am grateful to all of you that have provided so much useful information to me. Not one escort we have hired has been a problem. I attribute that to checking out the escorts carefully using all of the tools that I have learned about here. That includes the reviews. I feel like I have received so much knowledge from folks here, that the least I can do to try to give something back is writing a review.

My research into a prospective hire includes searching the threads, and that often turns up some information. But I wonder why people are not posting a proper review. Even if it is nothing more than identifying that the escort showed up as agreed, performed as agreed, accepted the rate as agreed, and physically matched his pictures. More would be better I guess, but just a simple confirmation that the escort is on the level would be extremely valuable to me. I think it would be valuable to others, too.

So, why didn't you write that review?

It's not a quick, easy process to write a review on Daddy's - one needs to answer several questions about the escort (all of which is valuable information) then write the review. Since I know many folks will read the review and make hiring decisions, I'm concerned about being sure that the information is accurate and reflects the essence of my time with the escort accurately and fairly. I have made an error in submitting a review that when I proof-read it before hitting submit was great in my mind; however, I had some wording that others reading it took contrary to my intent. So for me, it is usually the lack of time to write a timely review.

The rules of the site do not allow us to write a review if the appointment never took place. This is an issue that has come up many times over the years, but there doesn't seem to be a good solution for dealing with the no-shows, except to complain about them in the MB.

Various reasons...

- I started hiring before I knew about Daddy's. When I did find out the site, it was almost two years after my first hire.

- I wrote a review if the hire, asked me to. My first thought isn't to run home afterward and write about my encounter. :-)

- Some hires don't want reviews.

- If someone has a boatload of reviews, especially if they are mostly positive or negative, I'm of the mind not to add to it if my review matches the majority.

I had a bad experience with one of the escorts who has many, many, glowing reviews. I didn't write a review because I didn't want to deal with the attacks I anticipated, when I finally reconsidered it was outside the review window.

I've had just-okay experiences with escorts where we just didn't click, and didn't feel like it was fair to write a bad review.

You're also not allowed to review the same escort more than once every six months. I understand the rationale behind this, but it has a downside too. It would be very worthwhile to me to know that a reviewer has seen an escort frequently and had a great time. That's putting your money where your mouth is and also lets people who do longer term hires (not just a one or two hour wham-bang thank you) that an escort is more than a bunch of body parts but also a good companion - and these are two totally different things. By the same token, if someone writes a bad review on an escort they have seen multiple times it also tells you a lot about how well the escort wears over the long term, etc. Anyhow, I know no one wants to continuously see reviews on the same escorts but we're missing out on a lot of useful information because of the six month rule. Just my opinion.

I have seen reviews which start along the lines of "I've seen X frequently (or 4 times or whatever) over the past 6 months..." That would seem to convey the information you're looking for.

The other issue is that many reviews are penned by first-timers and they often state something like " I won't go into the intimate part of our encounter", which really doesn't tell us much.
