Well, I found one that was even more than 400.00 an hour today. He had ask for his rate so I did. It was 500.00 per hour. I said no thank you. If someone is able to ask for that amount and receive it, then I say go for it.

I just know that for me, that is a bit to much and as was just stated, there are a bunch of great guys out there for less.

Some clients, myself included, don't feel comfortable making counter offers. I'm sure not all escorts see it the same way, but I expect that many escorts that have made a decision regarding the worth of their personal services and access to their bodies would be put off by negotiation or haggling. I don't want to question the escort's assessment of his own worth. I'll just assess whether he's worth that to me. If Tommy Defendi was an unknown I think his rate would be much more questionable. As a porn star he probably has some number of fans who are excited by the chance to hook up with him because they've seen him in action and fantasized about him. I can recall feeling that way about Donnie Russo early in his career and Nick Harmon despite the fact that there were hotter escorts on the scene.

I've negotiated with escorts and in other situations. I find it a fun game. I also approach it from a "win/win or no deal" point of view. "$400? That's not what I have available right now. Would $300 work for you?" If no, then OK.

 

Some customers in any market are attracted to paying a high price because it increases their perception of value and also pride in being able to pay a high price. I imagine there is a niche for a high price point (as Zeb Atlas has evidently found to be the case). And I imagine some escorts who don't do escorting full time can set a high price if they don't need a steady escorting income stream. I have a full time job as a music professor. My private lesson rate is high because I don't want many students, don't need the money, and only want to teach motivated people. I don't have many outside students and it is fine. My energy and time go only so far.
