Come join us in wonderful and non-winter Chicago, the weekend of July 25-28!

We started discussing another Forum event during Palm Springs, and Chicago topped the list of places to go. It’s conveniently located in the middle of the country, so all you Midwest folks finally get something in your own backyard*

*we’re pretending that the prior attempt to set something up in Chicago never happened.

Getting there via plane: O’Hare, Midway (Southwest, United and American)

From JFK: $300

From LAX: $360

From ATL: $310

From DCA: $310

Flight specials get run all the time, if you want to wait—especially on Southwest.

Getting there via car:

Cincinnati, OH: 300 mi (4.5 hrs)

Cleveland, OH: 345 mi (5 hrs)

Columbus, OH: 355 mi (5.5 to 6 hrs)

Des Moines, IA: 330 mi (4.5 to 5 hrs)

Detroit, MI: 285 mi (4 to 4.5 hrs)

Indianapolis, IN: 185 mi (3 hrs)

Kansas City, MO: 530 mi (7.5 to 8.5 hrs)

Louisville, KY: 300 mi (4.5 hrs)

Madison, WI: 150 mi (2 to 2.5 hrs)

Milwaukee, WI: 90 mi (90 min)

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN: 408 mi (5.5 to 6 hrs)

Nashville, TN: 510 mi (7 to 8 hrs)

Pittsburgh, PA: 460 mi (6.5 to 7.5 hrs)

St. Louis, MO: 300 mi (4.5 hrs)

Saugatuck, MI: 140 mi (2.5 hrs)

While there’s no events like MAL or Pride in Chicago at that time, the city has a TON of gay (and non-gay) things to offer…

• Steamworks

• Lake Michigan

• Miracle Mile

• Boystown

• The Baton

• Sidetracks

and more.

Hotels are running $160-up, depending on the area of town you’re in.

Social stuff will depend largely on how many people show up—if anyone has suggestions on a great meeting place for dinner a la Trio or Annie’s, please post or shoot a PM. Hope you’ll join us and make this another annual event worth waiting for!

Perfect planning. I was just getting ready to plan a trip to Chicago around this time to celebrate our birthdays with a close friend. I'm in. Will be so glad to see the 3 PS Entertainers. Instead of a cake, I think we should have a cake decorating party. We'll get frosting, whipped cream, etc. and DECORATE DANE. :-) !!!!! Hope Nate can make it.

I will make every effort to schedule this trip. I had great success "shacking up".....errr.....sharing a room with a fellow poster and friend (thanks again epigonos!) in PS, had a great time, and I'm ok trying that again if anyone can stand to be around me for that long. :-)

Chicago is a fantastic town.....and no need to rent a car!!.....would really like to make this as July is pretty rough here in the southwest (humidity rockets up to about 20%!! in July and August out here!).....

thanks for organizing, Chris.....

Now this could only happen to a guy like me

And only happen in a town like this

So may I say to each of you most gratef'lly

As I throw each one of you a kiss

This is my kind of town, Chicago is

My kind of town, Chicago is

My kind of people, too

People who smile at you

And each time I roam, Chicago is

Calling me home, Chicago is

Why I just grin like a clown

It's my kind of town

[brief instrumental]

My kind of town, Chicago is

My kind of town, Chicago is

My kind of razzmatazz

And it has all that jazz

And each time I leave, Chicago is

Tuggin' my sleeve, Chicago is

The Wrigley Building, Chicago is

The Union Stockyard, Chicago is

One town that won't let you down

It's my kind of town

Just to be clear—a number of people have their hands in this. We (clients and escorts alike) started talking about it in PS at dinner and thought it would be fun to do a summer event that was located within reason for as many people as possible who might not have been able to come to the other parties. IML was tossed out because it's too soon and the hotels are booked or too expensive.

Market Days would have been a better weekend. Be aware that if there is baseball going on that weekend rooms will book fast and rates will be at a premium. So if you don't do price line auction and your seeing a decent rate you better jump on it. If you dont want to stay in the loop there is a nice Days Inn and a newly remodeled Best West in the Lakeview neighborhood. The rooms for the Days Inn are small but staff is very nice and its on the bus line. Best Western is also right on the bus line and near decent restaurants and just a few blocks east of boystown.

Greg

This is great! The last Chicago party was about five to six years ago, and there were about 20 people (escorts and clients) in attendance. We had it at Weber Grill on State St. and had a private room. The poster who organized it doesn't post anymore and I have forgotten his name. I remember that Seaboy, NateSF, and Raul Manzo were there, but who else? Seaboy, do you remember?

Ace, Nate and Chris all at the same place at the same time? Remind me to pack my heart medicine!

Add DANE and you've got the hottest FOURSOME on the planet. Things that dreams are made of!

Three others I know of were Dane Michaels, Romann, and Tyger. Hope they can return.
