How often do you post on other sites..or do many of you just post here..We all have visited those other sites ie..Atkol, Bootyboard, Muscle Forums etc.. There have been some great discussions on some of those boards and I have been tempted to jump in.. I want to use "Godiva" but I don't know how a Hooboy devotee would be recieved(good or Bad.) On one board I am "MRGodiva" so when you see that name pop up it is me. Do many of you post on the other boards under different names..?

 

What made you choose this site over the others..

 

It is almost like there are "Invisible Boundaries" around all the sites and that no one crosses them accept maybe and escort or two.

I don't think I have seen Hooboy or Deej pop up on other sites..unless you use different handles..I always wondered that when people here vanish from the center..do they go to one of the other sites and post for a while and than come back..hmmmmm

I don't have much to add in reply. I have been to Atkol, but only to respond to remarks made here about my one no show review of an escort. I did log into that site with my same handle. The other sites you mentioned I have heard of, but never been to. The varied threads and personalities on this board are all I need for my internet fix. Maybe sometime I'll go browse the other sites, but as far as the handle, it'll be the same. If I get heat for that, oh well. Hooville is my home of choice and this is the only place I would make a donation to (and have when the money was available.)

If I am ever at the other site and I see MrGodiva, I'll say hello unless you prefer that I not say anything.

I go to ATKOL and the Muscle Service forums every day and contribute. I use different names because the sites rejected the original name as already taken. The Muscle forums frankly have a larger audience than here and often discuss escorts, particularly the muscular types. Atkol once had an escort forum but closed it because the webmaster was irritated by escorts' attempts at self promotion. It has gone downhill since, largely because the Political forum has attracted some particularly hateful guys who have driven off a lot of people.

I have never even visited one of the other sites. This was the first one I found, by accident, and I haven't needed any other. In fact, I have never even visited another message board of any type.

There's no "taboo" per se. There's just a finite amount of free time.

Hey Jackhammer..when you see my handle absolutely say hi..I hope you are doin well BTW:-) Merlin..that is also a big reason why I check out Muscle Forums..Me prefer zee muscular types also..I also notice that many more escorts post there to let you know when they are comming to your area..But of coures after I have had my fill ...I come home;-)

Muscle Forums

 

I checked out Muscle Forums a few times. I contributed to the Tom Katt thread, defended a few porn stars I had not met, teased Blue Blake and then never went back there again.

 

I participate on another forum for escorts. There are two forums similar to this one related to two escort advertising sites but none ever took off, to my knowledge.

 

I have been participating here less and less simply due to time constraints and cannot imagine personally having the time and energy to actively contribute to more forums.

 

The Message Center also lends itself to the mentoring of escorts and client assistances aspects of my personality. It has also been a great NON-sexual way to meet people.

My time and money are mine to spend as I choose, and if there were other sites I found as interesting as this one, I´d post there. I don´t think there´s anything "taboo" about it.

 

But the fact of the matter is that I can´t find one that´s as interesting as this. Despite the fact that almost every time a really engaging thread gets started somebody has to pipe up and nastily remind everybody that this site is "supposed" to be about sex with escorts, so far as I know this is the only gay-oriented website where intelligent, thoughtful, wise and compassionate men actually discuss matters that are of very great interst to me. Because I live in a small town close to a very provincial city, and cannot alter that fact, it´s extremely important to me to be able to have some kind of friendly, adult gay company, even if it´s only over the internet. So I am enorously grateful to Hooboy, Deej, and all the others who enhance my life by making this site available to me and all the other men whom I so much enjoy knowing here.

The only other site I visit and contribute to on a regular basis is the Muscle Service Station. It does have a larger audience and seems to be segmented more than here. It's interesting to me in a different way than this board. The M4M site (this one) seems to breed more of a closeness, even when people are arguing. I guess that's due to the smaller nature of this community vs. the MSS site.

 

I agree with Rod's opinion on a much earlier thread like this that the MSS site is a little TOO devoted to steroid usage and discussion, especially in the forum discussing weight training. But the Open Topic over there is often fun and informative. The people there are definitely different. The main underlying difference between these two sites is that here the discussion is rooted in escort/client relationships, whereas there the discussion is rooted in muscle worship and bodybuilding.

By the way, to answer the original question on this thread, my handle on MSS is, "sdchrismac". For some reason "chrismac" must have been taken on the EZBoard system.

Like Chris, the only other site I frequent is the MuscleService site, which is where I met Matthew Rush, who's become one of my best friends.

 

It can be an interesting site and I check it out at least once a day.
