Somewhat off-topic, but here goes.... I would like management to give some thought to discontinuing the birthday greetings initiated by one or two posters here, especially for the second year and third year birthdays of the same individuals. I have no problem with mention of the first birthday.

 

I am not crazy about the Facebook birthday tradition either, but at least is it confined to people whom you have chosen as "Facebook friends."

 

Far more important, I am really glad to see Doug69 back even if it's only for a few posts. Rick and Doug are two of the valuable people to ever post here. Rick's posts are somewhat light-hearted (excepted on gay issue and politics), while Doug has written slightly more seriously. Doug wrote the best and most widely read post I can remember on this site; the subject is plagiarism.

Originally when the link was posted, clicking on it gave you direct access to the blog. I do see now where that has all changed, and it does require a log on and password... No matter Charlie, you didn't miss anything....

I think it is the right of the Forum members as a whole to read this blog and come to their OWN decision--not simply avoid it because you and BVD FEEL "yOU DIDN'T MISS A THING"

A More Realistic Look at That Blog

 

Why would Rick, a 13-year member on short-term "time out," shoot himself in the foot directly, or ask a friend to create an anti-deej blog? Rick is street smart; he would know immediately that everyone would think that he, or a friend or Derek, created the blog. As far as I know, Rick has been loyal always to this site, never posting on other escort review sites.

 

There's no information in the blog (I wrote this in draft form when the blog was still accessible this morning) that is unavailable to anyone who admires Rick from a distance, and mistakenly believes that the blog helps him, and/or gets back at his supposed "enemies." I assume Rick's goal is to serve his "time out," and post here again, as he did after his one other "time out." If Rick had any control over the blogger, he would have acted as Daddy suggested after reading Daddy's post of Wednesday night (see above).

 

I understand why some people may not like Rick's sense of humor. I love his humor myself. But, there is nothing in his pattern of behavior here for the last thirteen years (including his earlier "time out") that would even remotely suggest that he would create the blog in question, or ask someone else including Derek, to create the blog.

Couldn't agree more LBT....If the creator of the blog wants it read, then perhaps he should provide a password. The link is asking for my Google account and password, and I deleted that account and my facebook account (still not sure why I had one of those) over a year ago...It helps keep all the "mean girls" away... and as Charlie says, "End of comment on this whole subject"....

Rick, most times he is funny, sometimes he is not and when he is not he borders on insufferable. That probably applies to most of us either here or in real life. i may be wrong, but I doubt Rick is responsible for that blog mainly because it really isn't funny nor is it bitchy enough to be a serious putdown.

That said, I am sure if and when he returns he will either take credit or blame for the blog or deny that he had anything to do with it. I will believe him either way.

Now i would raise the possibility of a conspiracy, which has been hinted at by others but while i love drama as much as the next guy, I prefer my own drama so I will the let the conspiracy theorists do their thing.

Rick and Derek were put on "time out" for life several hours after the blog appeared. Rick did not know the man who created the blog. He received a link to the blog in an e-mail, so was able to contact him and initiate negotiations. Rick wanted the blog removed from the Internet immediately. At this point, the gentleman who started the blog has only agreed to classify the blog as password protected.

Some of the stuff I've read on daddy's is really funny. The threads from ancient times are unbelievable. The "play by play" of someone's encounter with BN in the midst of the plagarism (sic) thread had me laughing for a good hour. But......

 

It's never easy when it's you that everyone is laughing at. And I'll bet most of us on this site have been bullied at one time or another. Not much fun.

 

I keep trying to learn how to laugh at myself, to not take myself so seriously. In the end I hear echos of the late, not-so-great Rodney King: "Can't we all just get along?"
