Jim, as I just told you in our heated IM (that was hot, actually...very Sam & Diane), this might have been true in the mid 90's but Chelsea is a very different place now. To me, it seems pretty straight. Most of the nightclubs are straight, and we now have nail salons on almost every block...not to mention Dallas BBQ, Ricky's Beauty Supply, and other very hetero hangouts/shops. Sure there are still lots of gay guys here, but it's definitely not the gay ghetto it once was, which is a good thing, I think...I never saw the benefit of us having to stay together in packs. Yeah but I'm looking to join a new one. I need a more serious weightlifting gym and the NYSC seems more geared toward "fitness" and "toning." I wish there were a Gold's in Manhattan. I get my best workouts when I travel & use Gold's (the one in Vegas is awe-inspiring).
