Not only did I have to spend the day digging out all this damn snow I had to cancel an appointment with my favorite escort. There was no way of getting into NYC and he was in town for just a few days. I'm not expecting anyone to respond to this post, I just wanted to whine. I've poured myself a glass of wine to go with my whine and feel a little better. At least I didn't have a heart attack and probably got a better work out than going to the gym. Now I'm just horny!

Here in LA, we had more rain in one day last week than we normally get in a year. I actually saw umbrellas for the first time since moving here.

Of course it's TOTALLY an LA thing. Somber weather reporters broadcast from the beach about high wind & surf conditions while surfers stand behind them and say "WOO HOO! BIG WAVES!"

:+

Oddly, homes never get rain-tested here. One of my co-workers recently bought a house and found out this week that the roof leaks. He figures he's got about 10 years before the next drenching to get it fixed.

Every region of the country has its own weather issues.

The caribbean is aweseome this time of the year.. I just got back from a cruise, with a great tan! And was stuck in Ft. Laudedale for two extra days! I figured I could have been stuck in a much worse place two extra days at the beach was awesome!! But now I am back here in Boston and can't believe how much snow is on the ground!

I dunno.. Living in So Cali or So Fla is sounding pretty tempting right now!!!

Tomorrow it's supposed to be 46 degrees. Tons of snow will begin to melt and heavy rain on Saturday, hence heavy flooding.

When should we expect the locusts? Should I fill up the bird feeder?

Is God trying to tell us something?...or has he just run off to some tropical island paradise like I'm hoping to do.

For the life of me I can't reckon how SO MANY people live in places like Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Philadelphia, etc. with the weather there. You guys have about 2 weeks of good weather all year. One in the Spring, another in the Fall. Then come the tornadoes, sleet, snow, more tornadoes, oops - here's the good week, then sweltering heat, mosquitos that can either fit through the screen mesh, or just open the door and walk in - until your second good week comes around again.

Time for me to take my lunchtime sun break in the backyard. 74 degrees and sunny here in San Diego. I know, I'm an asshole sometimes. :+

Since I started this thread I feel I should reply. I live in the NY metro area. What can I say except I love NY City. I've spent my whole life in this area and aside from the city, which has the most astounding amount of cultural choices, we are also close to amazing beaches in the summer and within an hour you have so many choices of wonderful places to go in so many seasons. Maybe if I was a skier I'd like winter more. I love to travel and realize there are so many places that have a better climate year-round. But spring and fall are great here too. It's more than a couple of weeks during the year. Maybe one just has to be bi-coastal and be prepared to escape these 3 or 4 months that can be so difficult. Can you enjoy perfect weather if you have it 365 days a year? Probably...but when spring comes and it does eventually, to watch the earth become green again is so wonderful. Plus we have so many great escorts and who needs good weather for that. OK, I guess I'm just trying to convince myself. I think it's working too.

RE: I hate New Yorkr!!!!

Where else but New York could you wake up in the morning and decide to see a Broadway show? That's what Cooper and I did, and we got lucky. We tried the Hairspray matinee and got seats in the 3d row center! It's a really fun show!

Of course afterwards some asshole in a car tried to push me into a slushbank, but then....yeah, I hate living in New York!
