Would you be offended if you got an email like this:

"Hi. I had a great time when we got together. Next month I'm going to be traveling to XYZ city and wondered if you had any buddies there that you might recommend. I really liked what we did together and thought you might know someone who has similar tastes."

What do you think?

Offensive or okay?

Thanks.

Sorry guys. I"m pretty tired tonight and don't think that I communicated very well. I meant, if I sent this to you as an escort, would you (as an escort) be offended.

I've hired some pretty top-notch escorts and really value the time that I spent with them. I just wondered if they had friends in the business in other cities and if it would be in bad taste to ask them to recommend someone in that city. For example, if I"m going to San Francisco, to ask an escort in NYC who knows my interests for a recommendation.

Aha...well this is much different. I cannot speak for escorts, but I would guess that some of them would have some contacts in other places that they might be willing to share. If you ever recieved such a recommendation this way I would advise that you still check other sources / reviews just to make sure.

I thought your first post was perfectly clear. And no, providing we've met before, I wouldn't be offended at all by that question, but rather flattered. I have several friends in the biz, and having a sense of what our time together was like, I may be able to make some good recommendations either in other cities or my very own.

It's not offensive at all, and in fact it happens fairly regularly. Sometimes I'm stumped who to recommend, but if I know someone and think it would be a good match for the client I'm happy to make the suggestion.

Would you also give a recommendation for another escort if he was asking for one in your own home base city? Like if you weren't available to meet on the requested day/time, and the client asked for a recommendation. I could see pros and cons to doing that.

I did something similar, while in SF I contacted David-SF, who had JUST left town for a few days. I asked him for a recommendation in his absence & he promptly recommended Steve Stacks - who was ALSO out of town that weekend. Some days you can't win.

Without hesitation, even if I were available. I'm eager for the client to find best match he can.

I have received several fun escort recommendations from providers, who knew me and were enthusiastic to connect me to other escorts they knew I would enjoy. Good guys will give you an appropriate recommendation based on your fun preferences or decline simply because they can't commend anyone in your target city. Only petty people would be miffed at such a request, in which case, you don't want to continue to transact business with them anyway. So, it's kinda win-win.....ask away and happy hunting!

I wondered which way you meant this—because I saw immediately it could be from both a client or an escort. I get stuff like this all the time—it doesn't bother me at all. It always makes me think of the thought that "all black/asian/gay people know each other," with escorts being the subject. I'm always open to recommending someone, even if it's to say: "well, I haven't met them but I know they've gotten a lot of good press."

Max -- can you recommend an escort in the DC area? I'm looking for a guy with a biting sarcastic wit who refuses to share face pics. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Fool, I am in Chicago now (or at least I will be after this weekend). Pick up a box and drop it in the living room.

Sweet. Chicago is a place I actually visit from time to time. Now I'm really going to have to solve this mystery. ;)

As an escort I wouldn't be offended as long as I was sure I wasn't going to lose any business from the client due to the recommendation.

I sent 3 emails and never heard back from you. Figured you didn't have time to meet anymore.

How about if you, BVB, Tom, and I triangulate on Chicago, and (somehow?!) pinpoint Max? We're harmless, Max. Really!
