Bad Experience with "Porn Stars"?

Hi everybody,

 

anybody else had a bad experience with the most advertised "porn stars" on Rentboy?

 

For instance, i recently hired Patrik Zsolt (he used to do porn for Belami), and when you hire such a heavily advertised boy you have great expectations.

Instead, it was a great disappointment: he showed up one hour late (clearly coming from another client), he asked the money upfront and he didn't deliver half of what I asked him.

He didn't' even kiss or get down on me.

 

Why is it that the more they are famous, the more they think they can show up whenever they want, let us worship them for a few minutes, ask the money and leave?

 

Anybody had similar experience?

"Porn stars" tend to have lots of attitude, in my experience. There have been a few exceptions, but mostly it's a good idea to stay clear of them.

My opinion is that whether or not someone is a porn star won't have any bearing on their ability to escort. The truly good escorts will be able to rock your world independently of their experience in porn. The bad escorts will not. I think the problem arises when someone in porn thinks that simply being in porn will make them a good escort. It doesn't take being a porn star to have a bad attitude and there are some really good escorts that have done porn.

My own experience, over a fairly long span of time, is that porn guys are about as likely to give a good time as anyone else. With them, you have the advantage of "previewing thei work" and knowing that they have had sex under a variety of sub optimal circumstances (e.g., haylofts, tweaked-out partners). I've rarely encountered attitude regardless of background, but I'm not drawn to extreme body builders or pretty boys and that may reduce some of the exposure to attitude issues.

You can't generalize. I've been with a number of escorts that have done porn over the years. Most of them were fantastic - but others were forgettable. Several current porn stars that escort have great reviews. I personally have hired Heath Jordan several times. Heath is a sweetheart - built, hairy, a superb top and fantastic bottom. Over the years I've seen Tommy Ritter (always absolutely amazing), Alec Martinez, Justin Christoper, Jason Kingsley, Jed Wilcox, Scott Matthews and Nicholas Clay (J in LA). I would hire any one of them again. Other's that have always had stellar reviews are Andrew Justice, Arpad Miklos and Christopher Daniels. There are others that I would not hire based on reputation and reviews.

That certainly is not generalizing. And my example was in reference to ONE porn star only. I never said that all porn stars make great escorts, that would be an absurd thing to say. Actually that is a good observation, there is a porn star that I simply think is amazing. He is going to be in a city where I am going in a week or so, and I will not hire him as an escort, because I have heard that what you see on film is not what you get when you hire...expectations are always a problem...LOL

I've hired two porn "stars" in the past, one with great success and the other just so so. I attributed the results directly related to the experience they had in escorting at the time of the meeting. What I look for (and should have known better with the dud) is a guy who's porn work seems to be an extension of himself - what he does and how he does it in real life, now just doing it on camera, versus someone that is performing. I've had great experiences with some escorts who also do porn and a couple of okay experiences when there wasn't any chemistry. I've never hired any of the porn stars who charge above market rates because I think I am unlikely to enjoy the experience appreciably more than I would with someone else at the market rate in whatever city I'm in. Also, I tend to assume that the porn stars who charge more for escorting services are more likely to be arrogant and provided a lower level of customer service compared to the guys (whether they do porn or not) who charge the market rate.
