Any moment now Billy Crystal will take the stage. If you are not watching the Oscars, then you MUST watch the Tonys or lose your gay card!

I'll be signing out now.

It's actually been quite entertaining so far.

Honestly, I'm on & off here. But I always hate the Academy Awards. I'm never up on the movies that win the awards anyway. The Tony's are always more fun. But I don't think I have a gay card (yet). Still working on earning it, lol.

Sorry, I don't have a television. But I thought the Tonys were in June. So wouldn't I need a tardis?

Anyway I cooked some fabulous rapini and chicken for my second dinner, yeah I worked up a big appetite today.

Later I may go out dancing with some friends who are celebrating (or assume they'll be celebrating) the results at the Oscars.

Maybe I'll wear something really "gay" in hopes my membership and good queer standing is not challenged.

Okay, full disclosure. I don't have cable or satellite, so I am keeping up with the Oscars online, but have not actually seen any of it. Can I still be gay?

I don't know any show tunes either!

Oh duh now I get it, since we DIDN'T watch the Oscars you want us to be sure and watch the Tonys which will be a future opportunity to hold or lose our gay card.

Sorry guess I'm a bit dense when it comes to these things.

Well although I love sex with men I must admit that I sometimes identify more as queer than gay.

I mean what with gay marriage and gay adoption and gay couples living in houses with white picket fences on main street I worry

that I might not be straight enough to be gay.

NO SHOW TUNES???? Not one??? You sir are a great disappointment to me!!

The Oscars did a pretty good job of getting it done in 3 hours.

As for the show tunes, no, I don't know a one. Well, some verses, like I Am What I Am.

But, for a guy living in the California desert, I have seen more New York theater than most people.

And, hopefully there is a lot more to come.

Congratz to the very Handsome French Actor who Won Best Actor for the Artist! I have been over George Clooney for Several Years and to me he has been over hyped for year's also!

I've never been a Tom Cruise Fan BUT the guy looked terrific at the Oscar's for a short guy that is!

never, never, never

Sir, I will NEVER give up my Gay Card. Frankly it took me too long to get it and I worked too hard to let it go. Kind of like my union cards. I did watch the awards but I TIVO'ed the Message Center. I added some remarks to the ARTIST thread in the Arts Gallery.

If you come after my gay card, you better have something more than a threat to watch the Tony awards since it is a show I set my June calendar around. And for the office pool, I will lay money that we can get Lucky to name and even hum more than 10 show tunes. I know we aren't to talk openly about additional activities for the Palm Springs weekend, but I wonder if Lucky would rise to the challenge of hitting that show bar next to the Rainbow Grill (now reopened) on the night they play show tunes. He can prove his case there. I saw him on my last visit to see my friend in Palm Springs and Lucky looked hotter than I had seen him . Something about that clean living in the desert . If he sings half as good as he looks, we have a winner.

I'm just saying........

Nobody participating here needs to worry about losing their Gay Card. We validate.

The line to get your ticket punched forms behind Raul, which isn't a bad place to be. :p

Thanks Deej for validating the "gay cards" of those of us who were watching the Oscars live, but were not viewing this site. Like many men my age, don't really enjoy multi-tasking, unless I absolutely must.

Bigger question for retaining your "gay card" might be: How many of you watched a Red Carpet show with the Fashion Police People or some other group interviewing celebrities about their gowns and jewels??

I viewed almost all of The Oscars and thought the show [overall] not to be as exciting or invigorating as some in year's past. I liked the moderator in his younger days much more

than his during his ninth performance last eve. Did like looking at some of the very "hot" actors and checking out what some of the women wore on the red carpet.

Yes, I do admire women garb but have NO desire to adorn it!

Perhaps the 85th show will be more appealing to me. Hope the emcee will be much more lively and vibrant and keep the audience stirred and invigorated!

The Last Movie Icon

Well for someone who was responsible for "Movie Ticket Sales" for Decades which was the Original reason for this "Yearly Circus" The Last Living Movie Icon to Pass...

"Elizabeth Taylor" was definitely glossed over quickly! Then again her Humanitarian Efforts on behalf of AIDS will always be a reminder of a great Lady!

Plus the fact she did make a "Few Bucks" From the Movie's when they were worth something! ;)

Jean Dujardin, the fastest rising French movie star. Following the Ceremony the French seem to be in a uproar.

I always fall asleep during the Oscars so now I dvr it and can fast forward thru the dull parts. Will watch the rest tonight. Angelina Jolie needs to eat some food. She seems like a smart woman. Why does she want to look like she just got out of a concentration camp? Not pretty at all.

BG, I agree and thought the exact same thing when he walked onto the stage. I'm no longer a fan of his movies, but (imho) Tom was quite possibly the sexiest presenter of the entire show. I'd fuck him in a heartbeat!
