What did you do New Years Eve (and what are you doing New Year's Day?)

Well, the hoopla is over, we are now in a new year. So what did we do last night and how are we recovering today?

 

My New Years Eve consisted of eating Chinese Food and renting movies (non pornographic at that)

 

My New Years Day is consisting of making pork and saurkraut and watching VH-1's marathon of "I Love the 80's" They are starting 1980 at 2pm.

My family always spends New Year's Eve together and this year was no exception. It was a nice, quiet family get together. I got home around 1:00 a.m. I spent the morning catching up on my reading. I'm getting togehter with friends this afternoon.

Spent most of last night and today alternating between watching football games, scanning the internet for hotels in NYC and keeping updated on posts here. Not much huh? Oh, and a lady in my building often brings me black eyed peas for new years (a southern tradition for good luck) but didn't this year. hmmm wonder why?

We were going to go out to join the crowds watching fireworks, but when the time came we were too sleepy to get dressed (midnight is way past our bedtime in the old folks home), so we just watched them on tv and went to sleep.

 

It rained hard all day New Year's Day, so we stayed in and watched football games--yawn! Nothing like the days of my wild youth, when I once had sex with eighteen guys over a three-day New Year's weekend.

I was Lucky (no pun intended) to spend the holidays in SoBe with my b/f. I'm one of the amateur drunks deej refers to. I got wasted on merlot on New Years Eve and insisted we go to a stripper bar. Zippers in Miami (or at least a certain dancer) is much richer because of my one-day binge!

 

Spent New Year's Day on a turbulent airplane ride back to the Big Apple and pulled out the leather jacket and waded home from LaGuardia in a cold sleety downpour. I had fun, BUT I LOVE NEW YORK!

Well I thought I would try something different this New Year's Eve. I called one of the escort services from NYC to send one of thier boys down to Philly for the night:9. New Years Eve and Day with the Twinks

 

We watched Cirque de Soleil - Quidam[/] and Dralion on Bravo and then the DVD of Charlie's Angels. Guess which was my choice and which was theirs?

 

We drank some champagne but mostly sipped mineral water. At 1:00 a.m. we were all fast asleep in our own beds. The next day, we met for lunch, they went to the movies, I went bike riding and that evening I saw a client.

New Years Eve was very rainy and cold here so I decided to stay home to ring in the New Year. Was in bed by 12:30.

New Year's Day my mother has a silly Superstitious New Years Day tradition that involves eating Cooked Cabbage(yuk!), Black Eyed Peas(double YUK!) and Jowl Bacon(Can clog an artery all the way to the Aorta) in order to have Good Luck for the New Year. But, being I am her only Son, I decided to be a good son for the day and spent the evening with her and her important tradition. I ate 1 spoon of those nasty peas, 1 fork full of the cabbage and a couple strips of bacon and the visit made her day.

I don't know how these silly superstitions get started.

I'm currently in London for the Holidays and New Year and what a disappointment,here there was no major celebrations also the fact being for the last 4 days or so it has rained almost constantly .

 

NYE my hubby and I spent in our hotel watching movies and then having hot sex until the early hours.I wish i was back in LA .
