This idea came from another thread (I admit it) so I started a new one to address what I was wondering.

 

The forum is an amazing place. I have posted quite a little bit on it myself as have others. My question to escorts is do they try to do some research on new clients through the forum to determine what they can about the person (i.e.likes/dislikes/etc.?)

I know this to be true because 2 different escorts have told me this, one a forum member, one not. And I have no problem with it whatsoever.

 

I don't know if all do it and I don't know if even a majority do. But it does happen.

In my personal case I have not used this site as a source of information for my potential clients. It may be a surprise for many but this website is not used as widely in Canada as it is used in the States. I hardly ever met anyone who posts here or writes reviews, and normally when I meet someone who reads the site they tend to disclose it after we meet, never before. I think only three men have told me they read (or participated in) the forum beforehand.

 

I rely on the information I get directly from my clients. I find that this alone will give me enough information for me to be prepared to provide a fulfilling experience. Also I think that learning about his past experiences may hinder my ability to listen to his present needs and provide for them.

My main research is asking some questions beforehand, then reviewing email and text correspondence before the appointment. Sometimes the email correspondence before a meeting can be fairly lengthy, so there can be a lot to go from.

 

With all due respect, I'm not in favor of escorts talking among themselves about clients. Although the forum can be very chummy at times, I don't think it is appropriate for escorts to reveal anything about their appointments to either other escorts or clients. Even with other escorts who I am very friendly with, I do not share any of the details of who I am seeing or what we do together. If the client chooses to reveal details in the forum or a review, that's his choice, but on the flip side if he wants to maintain his privacy that needs to be respected. It's not equitable: it's OK for the clients to trade details about the escorts, but not OK for the escorts to trade details about the clients.

Although still relatively a newbie, it is still my impression that escorts care primarily about their clients in the appropriate role, as customers, with a caveat that I myself have experienced potential exceptions, but only after many repeat meetings.

 

To think that an escort would do much "digging" about a client reminds me too much of a psycho Andrew Cunanan situation (the aging "boy toy" who murdered

Versace), although he (Cunanan) was probably more in a gold-digger/"stalker" category. [A new book about Cunanan will be published in 2011 or 2012]. That said, it is highly improbably anyone could find anything about anyone's personal status in this anonymous arena.

 

One escort did contact me to question a critical commentary I made about his photos. He was very polite and cordial; I never actually saw him.

 

It would seem more accurate, as noted by others above, that some escorts might search the forum to see what clients are saying about them, and to keep up-to-date about their reputations as reflected here.

Well that's a relief. Here I thought there was this whole clandestine, underground kind of Kabal of escorts who got together on the third Thursday every month to discuss clients' weirdnesses, eccentricities, quirks, etc (plus maybe what they actually DID in a session - mmmGasp!) I was beginning to think that nothing was sacred anymore. This particular message has gone a long way to alleviating my fears of my proclivities going national in exposure. I am so relieved. Steven, you mean those guys who showed up at my door wanting to take pictures were actually on the level when they claimed to be from National Geographic? I sent them away - I thought they were Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons trying a new recruitment technique. I actually was tempted to join - the one "photographer" was kind of cute, in a straight acting kind of wholesome way. Your photo, however, from NG brings out all my fears about BJ's with teeth - I don't care how big your mouth actually is - teeth are teeth, and as such they can hurt Enough nonsense - back to the tread, which is actually quite interesting without my little levity timeout.
