Without revealing identities, did any escort have encounters with a client who was a psychiatrist, or probably? If yes, how did it go?

Who?

Great question bcohen...

I'm confused though. In that type of arrangement, who would lie on the couch?

Not that I'm aware of, though I'd say I don't know the professions of 90% of my clients. I never ask them what they do for a living, though some volunteer their information (the 10% or so).

I find a number of clients are interested in what I do for a living besides escorting, why I do escorting, various aspects of the profession, etc. so it can seem like psychoanalysis at times. At that point, I suggest we BOTH lie on the couch and proceed from there.

Once had a Psychiatrist as a client. Sweet guy, see him around town a lot. Interesting thing was that he has a psychological condition that I'd have presumed would make it nearly impossible to see patients! (can't say what it is given that WeHo is a small town and all.)

From the other side of the coin, I know a shrink who did porn & escorted while in school. I always have said escorts are half-therapist (in some cases more) anyway.

By definition, all psychiatrists are in psychiatric therapy themselves.

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to distinguish the practitioner from the patient! I won't make any remarks about psychiatrists as some of my good friends went into that specialty.

Some of my clients are psychiatrists or psychologists. I suspect that it is actually fairly common. But also just by the numbers if you escort for a few years you are likely to get just about every type of client imaginable.

Just this last Saturday, I had a two hour meeting with a new client (who turned out to be a psychiatrist)...nothing would distinguish him from any other client. Nice guy, well traveled & fun. He's a local & we talked at length about the state of the Las Vegas housing market..

He DID say though, that he thought escorts were also part time psychiatrists as well!

I hope to be spending more time with him.
