Hmmm - maybe my definition of 'rough trade' differs from that of whoever made this film. I wasn't expecting so many pictures of 'pretty boys' or male models posing as 'bad'.

"Rough Trade" is a lot like "Kinky". Ask 10 people to define it and you'll get at least 12 different definitions.

 

To some it's a hairy-chested Tom of Finland character standing with legs spread, arms crossed, and a lit highway flare clenched in his teeth. To others, it's Zac Efron in a jockstrap with a pink leather riding crop. To some, "rough" is getting slapped around. To others, it's not getting an olive in their martini.

In my youth, the term "rough trade" normally meant a butch, straight, lower class young man who would let you suck his cock, usually in exchange for giving him money or something else, like drugs, alcohol or even a cigarette.
