It seems like my neighborhood will not get any trick or treaters. I am resting on my comfy bed and writing this post. Anyways, those at a party drink responsibly! :) Good night all.

Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite.

did some volunteer work today with a group for the local Forest Service.....as usual for the last several years, no t or t'ers have come by and I'm now watching "Chinatown"....a classic, of course, and great to see the mood and atmosphere of 1930s Los Angeles and the valley.....up again tomorrow, early, for more outdoor volunteering for the FS

Good for you!

It's very nice of you to volunteer to help the local forest service. Chinatown is a good movie. Have fun tomorrow!

My neighbors and I had a wine-and-appetisers gathering in the courtyard of our condo building and handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters. I think the best costume was a little girl dressed like Tinkerbell. She was all of seven years old and was absolutely adorable.

Aww

It's always fun to see little kids in cute costumes....

It was a really cool way to spend the evening. In my neighborhood, the parents are more likely to make, rather than buy, their kids' costumes so we had an endless pageant of creativity.

I bought 4 bags of candy bars. I opened all the bags and poured them in a big bowl and sat by a window that abuts the door to give out the candy without having to open the door and risk the dogs running out. In the first minute I had two youngsters ring the bell. After that, I fell asleep and woke 6 hours later still sitting in the chair. Sad. Another of my childhood traditions heading for oblivion.

oh my

Well at least you had two visitors. It was so quiet here last night. Anyways, how could you sleep on a chair for six hours? I guess you have a comfy chair. I can't sleep that long on a chair. Anyways, have a good week!

It's hard for me to believe that kids are in any real danger trick or treating in most neighborhoods. P.K.'s right, the loss of these community rituals is just sad.

It was a comfortable dining room upholstered with arms. Woke up after being in one position for all that time and thought I was paralyzed. Could not move my arms or legs but eventually all the feeling came back.

Take good care of yourself... I would not be able to move the next day if I were you.. I'm glad that you are ok.

Well it was kind of Creepy and kooky mysterious and spooky and all together ookie. But my house is not a museum, and no one came to see em, though I really am a scree-um.(So gather with your shawl on, a broomstick you can crawl on, we're going to make a call on, The Addams Family snap snap.)
