From Defamer.com, which picked it up from msnbc.com, we learn that Ricky Martin is a fan of the golden shower:

I have read and re-read this thread so many times already that I can almost quote it verbatim. It seems very strange to me that Ricky Martin would say that he enjoys 'golden showers' outright given the fact that he is so secretive about his personal life. Could this be a language issue/mixup? Who is this Blender to which the original poster refers to as the originator of this information? Thanx.

Lucky, thanx for the info. I am sooo surprised that no reporter/news media here in Puerto Rico has picked up on this 'interview' given the fact that whatever RM does or says goes to print immediately. I do not believe that this interview ever took place at all. The part about the Dalai Lama especially caught my attention. I am a professor at the university that sponsored the Dalai Lama's visit to Puerto Rico. I wrote many letters to the Dalai Lama's people ironing out the kinks to his visit. When he did arrive, he was on a very tight schedule. Ricky Martin did meet with him, but did not "show him around Puerto Rico" as stated in the article. He had no time to do so. In addition, RM had already met privately with the Dalai Lama about one/two years ago in Nepal or India, so none of the Dalai Lama's aides had to go up and tell him, "Ricky Martin. Alé, Alé, Alé..." in order for the Dalai Lama to know who Martin was. The parts about him saying outright that he had recently had a one night stand, enjoys golden showers, etc. do not merit my belief. But then, everyone has a right to their own opinion... Thanx again.

It's possible the interview was mant to be tongue-in-cheek, but then, we don't know. I enjoyed it simply because of the idea it created in my fantasy....golden piss coming from one of music's sexiest performers. I certainly couldn't care about Sir Elton's piss!

Well...the shit finally hit the fan. Reports of RMartin's interview in Blender magazine just came out in Puerto Rico and as front page news. He has been asked by some groups to step down from presiding over his foundation against child porn/abuse and to name someone else to that position. In response, RMartin accepted doing the interview, but stated that what he does in his 'private' life is one thing and his career/work against child sexual exploitation is something else and one does not affect the other. Yeah, right... "Golden showers" just does not have the same ring in Spanish... "Ricky Martin Likes to Piss on People" makes for very poor publicity...
