I received a message from a member planning on visiting NYC over Thanksgiving. He requested additional information on the 20 Club. His questions are good so I thought I'd also post/reply to them here.

 

Q. Will the 20 Club be open on 11/26?

 

A. The only Sunday I can recall the 20 Club ever being closed was on Easter Sunday. If I hear it's closed I'll let you know, otherwise, it's business as usual.

 

Q. Is there a dress code?

 

No. You'll see customers in jeans to tuxedos. Dress casually and be comfortable. If you plan on doing a lap dance with a dancer who's just put on his baby oil, you might want to ask him to towel it off before grinding and soiling your pants.

 

Q. How much money should I bring?

 

Excellent question. The Club is expensive:

 

Cover: $10

 

Coat Check: $3.00 and a jar saying "tips"

 

Drinks:

Water/Soda = $7.00

Beer: $10.00

Mixed Drinks: $14.00

Add on a tip for the barwaiter. Happy Hour, 2-4-1 is between 5pm and 7pm.

 

Bathroom attendant: suggested, $1.00 a pee

 

Lap Dances:

$20.00 for a 5 minute song. As in Mtl, make sure you do the counting. Hint: It's easy to count songs since the dancer on stage performs to 2 consecutive songs. Just look up and see who's on stage.

 

Champagne room privates:

take place in a private booth.

Now costs $120 for 20 minutes. A complimentary drink for both you and the dancer are provided. Hint: order a mixed drink. :-) At the end of your 20 minutes the manager will walk in (no knock) to tell you the time is up. Btw, the manager who brings you to the booth and the cashier who brings you your drinks both expect tips.

Thanks for the details, Cooper, however I hope no one is misled here. Even if you don't need to pee, you should go to the bathroom and wash your hands after fingering a dancer's anal area. In this event, the suggested tip to the attendant would still be in order.

At those prices, isn't it cheaper to fly to Montreal and get a hotel room? I am not in NYC on Sunday nights anyways, but if that is the deal, I will take a weekend in Montreal any day.

PR: You are absolutely right. The 20 Club "can" be an expensive night and I too would rather travel to MTL. HOWEVER, I think people traveling to NYC aren't coming for the strip clubs but the culture... The 20 C can give you something to do on a boring Sunday night... So, when's your next weekend in Mtl? Coop

After a long day here in NY, I don't think I would be in the mood to shake it! :) Hehe...anyways, I left my skimpy underwear and gaudy black leather boots in Dallas *grin*. Porn Stars in the lineup:

Jonathan Vargas: Lucas Entertainment

 

Some recognizable faces in the audience were Rentboy's Sexiest Escort Jason Carter and porn star Kyle Douglas. Both appeared to be having an enjoyable evening.

 

The 20 Club has a new manager. Rob/Tyler has been replaced by Mark Anthony aka Tristan Lane. Good luck to both.

The MELT DOWN begins or, how deep are your pockets.

 

Tonight, patrons of the 20 Club were greeted with a sign that read: "Admission after 7pm $20.00"... Two weeks ago the cost of a 20 minute champagne room lap dance increased to $120... And, tonight the lights in the lap dance area were brighter than anywhere else in the club. Why? So security could see what's going on.

 

It will be interesting to see how the patrons react.

 

As for the lineup there were a few new faces, but many dancers were standing or sitting around not having much business. Attendance was down from the previous weeks.

Not much creativity was seen on the stage.

 

GQ has used the same police officer uniform for a long time.

 

JR looking good in his construction outfit with tool belt, hard hat, and hard cock.

 

Nino was a soldier

 

Damian was a crossing guard

 

Blade came out looking like Blade in the movie with the long black trench coat.

 

Matrix selected the face mask from Jason in Friday the 13th.

 

The lineup continues to take on a more Latin flavor and several of the dancers did not perform on stage due to the large turn out of dancers. So, Captain got up on one of the tables and performed some hot movies wearing very tight and revealing spandex boxers... New dancer Brandon seemed very nervous and gave a not so hot lap dance...Wayne, who never dances on stage, tried dancing for 30 seconds and gave up. :-)... And our favorite barwaiter Ace, also took to the tables a did some fine dance moves.

 

I still hear patrons complaining about their $14.00 very weak mixed drinks. Seems that you can hardly taste the alcohol.

 

There's talk of a new club on Long Island opening up with a Gaiety format w/nudity but no alcohol. Would be interesting to hear a review of this club. Only open Mondays and Tuesdays.

Hey Cooper. As always Thanks for the Up Date on W20..

 

So it looks like now, it would run about $35 Minimum to Check Out 'Face to Face' a Guy, who might also do Privates Outside The Club?

 

I'm guessing that's the "reason" alot of these Non- Dancing Guys Show to begin with?

 

I guess like the "G".. It does make sense to see If the "Experience" will be worth the Expenditure of 1 Hr or more. Spending $35 is alot better than $250 and UP on a Dud Experience.... :p :P :p

 

p.s. $14 for Weak Drinks, can't be Good for Bar Biz at all!

It is the only game in town, and the straight guys have been paying those prices for a long time. That's why there are several of those clubs!

lol...Lucky, There are people who actually do that, but how boring can you get... Last night the lights in the lap dance area were brighter than anywhere else on Broadway. I doubt if they do that when the ladies are working.
