American Gay Club Dancers Disappear In Montreal

I guess the local paper was trying to avoid the gay male stripper thing. By refering to Chippendales, their readers would assume that the boys were stripping for women. I am sure this is regarded as much more acceptable in the het world, where strippers have girlfriends, as these did, than acknowledging they were showing their dick (and maybe more) to male patrons at a gay strip club. This is another form of homophobia practised by the mainline press in America. x(

As usual alot of wrong information, in the "RUSH" to get the News out there! This is nothing New no matter what the story is about. As far as "Stripping" goes, Naturally the first thought would be a Chippendale's Type of Venue to most People, not the Gay Strip Joints in Canada. Most Americans don't know they exist to begin with, "Flying under the Radar" was what made the Gaiety/NYC Have a Great 30-35 years! The Latest story has them workin it at Rem's for the whole Summer. Apparently the guy's were there Only for a Week! One of them couldn't get "into it" and quit after a week.I would guess his friend left with him.. Many, Many Contradicting TALES. Give it a month for the Real Very Unfortunate Story. :+ p.s. They are gonna Luv this Story on Court TV somewhere down the line!

BOZO EVEN HAD A CONVERSATION WITH BILL, REM'S OWNER, ABOUT THE DIFFICULTY HE HAD IN GETTING A 90-DAY VISA FOR THE 3 DANCERS (MANZI WAS THE 3RD GUY WHO DANCED AS TOMMY D). ALL 3 WERE GREAT KIDS. KRAYNIAK EVEN SERVED HIS COUNTRY IN IRAQ.

Montreal — Police ruled out theft yesterday as a motive for the deaths of two American models found at the foot of a quarry cliff near Montreal, even as the mystery about the pair has thrown a spotlight on the underworld of the adult-entertainment industry.

 

Investigators retrieved jewellery, money and a cellphone from the remains of Mark Kraynak, 23, and Steve Wright, 20, highly paid strippers who spent the summer working in Toronto.

 

The two vanished after a trip to a downtown Montreal nightspot on Aug. 22, and police searchers found their bodies near another nightclub in Laval 10 days later.

 

Police say their deaths may have been accidental, and that the two fell more than 15 metres from the rim of the fenced-off quarry, but the mother of one of the men insisted her son's death was a crime.

 

“This is not an accident. I will never believe that,” Janice Kraynak said in an interview yesterday. “I hope investigators will find the person or people responsible and they will be held accountable.”

 

She was grieving for her son, but she said she found solace in the fact that his body was found. She told reporters this week that she wouldn't leave Canada for the United States without her son. “Now I know what has happened — not the specifics, but I have some answers.”

 

The deaths have cast a light on the murky adult entertainment industry in Canada. Both men had been hired from the United States by French Connection Française, also known as FCF, to perform as strippers earning as much as $1,000 (U.S.) a night. Mr. Wright performed in porn movies as well.

 

Last year, a 23-year-old Canadian woman who also worked for FCF, Natel King, was murdered while doing freelance work on a pornographic photo shoot in Pennsylvania. Ms. Kraynak says her son was disenchanted with his work and planned to leave the industry.

 

“I feel that this event [his death] has a direct or indirect link to what my son was doing,” Ms. Kraynak said, “and I don't think he was doing it willingly.”

I was in Montréal last week. I was talking to a

dancer at one of the clubs (before the bodies were

found) about this incident. He told me that he was

sure the guys were dead. He said that the club they

went to in Laval – The Red Lite – was owned by bikers

and that last year he went there with a friend – was

searched at the door – they found some ecstasy in his

socks and accused him of wanting to sell it at their

club – they beat the crap out of him to the point of

breaking his jaw. He’s sure that these guys probably

did something to piss off the bikers. If what this

dancer told me is true, their deaths most likely had

nothing to do with their “adult” career.

I saw the dancer Fisher writes about two days after he was beaten up -- he had missed work the day before because of his medical condition. It was not a pretty sight. Word on the street is that they search you carefully for drugs before entering the Red Light because they want you to buy from their suppliers inside the club.
