American Gay Club Dancers Disappear In Montreal

(Montreal, Quebec) Two male dancers have disappeared in Montreal and police say they have little evidence to show what happened to them. Steve Wright, a native of Guerneville, in northern California, and Mark Kraynak of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, were last seen a week ago.

 

The two worked for an agency that supplies dancers and models for the adult entertainment industry. Both Wright (pictured) and Kraynack were working at Remington's a gay strip bar in downtown Toronto and were expected to return to the United States late last week.

 

But, at the last minute they decided to make a trip to Montreal before heading home. They drove from Toronto to Montreal with another friend and their agent.

 

Wright and Kraynack left their hotel early last Monday morning and Kraynack called one of the other two friends from a taxi to say they were going to an after-hours club in suburban Laval.

 

That is the last anyone heard from them.

 

Police say there is no sign of the pair on surveillance tapes from the club and believe the men may never have arrived.

 

Kraynack's cell phone has a global positioning function but police say that the phone has been turned off. Wright's phone was still in the hotel room, along with the men's clothing, passports and personal papers.

 

Both men were believed to be making about $1,000 a night dancing in Toronto but their bank accounts have not been touched since the two went missing.

 

Kraynack and Wright are are both muscular and 6-foot-tall. Kraynak served with the Army's 82nd Airborne Division in Iraq until early last year and was known for superior strength and easy disposition. He is also a Purple Heart recipient. A family friend said that there is no way anyone would mess with him unless there was a gun involved.

 

Wright was considered by other dancers to be "a party boy". He liked the life that the money from stripping provided.

 

Police are still trying to find the cab driver. Investigators say there was nothing in the hotel room to indicate foul play but add they don't know what happened once the men got into the cab.

VDN. I am wondering which "Agency" these 2 Guys worked for. If it was American or Canadian? It has been over a week, so after reading about the Passport etc. being left behind, this story doesn't sound like it will have a Good ending! Unfortunately there will not be the Huge Interest or Investigation that is Ongoing in ARUBA or about the Missing Groom from the Cruise ship! :+

I really do hate to sound this cynical BUT I hope this isn't cry wolf. That damn run away bride and that other chick that was reported missing BUT they found out she just "moved away" left bad tastes in my mouth. If these boys are gallivanting with their sugar daddies then this is just so wrong. If not, and there is a crime here, I sincerely hope for their safe return with no harm done.

 

In the past, there were dances I wanted to kidnap. However, I knew I would have to feed them and stuff so I just never did it. ;)

TAZ..Both Good Looking Guys..The Blond definitely I am sure could handle himself in a Physical Confrontation, reading his "STATS" Which neither I or VDN ever had the opportunity to have with either Guy! Someone known for keeping in contact with Family and Friends Suddenly not doing that is a real bad sign. Have they gone a "Freaky Binge",who knows. But that apparently is the only Scenario where the outcome will not be Tragic! :+

I live in Montreal and 2 days after these guys disappeared, posters were going up in the Gay Village about their disappearance. At about the same time the local press picked up the story, as did the CBC radio, with the details of their partying on the last night they were seen in Montreal. The stories have continued on a fairly regular basis and members of their families have come to Montreal to await the results of the search.

 

One thing about the story cited here in the gay press which differs from the mainline press here is that there has been no reference that I have seen or heard that these guys were into entertaining men (for instance at Remingtons in Toronto). The Montreal Gazette has repeated the story that the two were in Toronto this summer to model underwear and swimwear and the like. They do say that their agent from California was with them on their trip to Montreal and that he has interests in producing porno but that he also represents models who are legit in the modeling business.

 

So this revelation that they were making $1000 a night dancing at Remingtons is news to me. There is no evidence that they were in the Gay Village in Montreal during their visit, they were visiting straight entertainment venues and were trying to pick up girls. Also there was some suggestion in the press that at least one of them had been a Chippendales dancer.

 

All of the above is to suggest that the gay press report may be dubious concerning the gay connection. At this point that is all I can say. It would be interesting if our Toronto readers could say whether they sighted them at Remingtons. Anyone making $1000 a night there could not help but be noticed, particularly since there have been postings here that the dancers at Remingtons have gone down in quality this year. Also, I have not checked but I wonder if their pics appear on Remingtons website.

 

Finally, Montreal is a relatively safe city to party in and only people who go looking for trouble are likely to encounter any major problems. As a rule people don't carry guns here as gun control is strictly enforced. That being said, members of organized crime and gang members do pack guns but their victims tend to be others who are involved in their activities such as drugs. It is extremely unusual for 2 guys who are partying on the town to come into contact with these types of individuals.

 

So it is all a mystery at this point. However, like others, I cannot help but think that these guys may have come to grief. Time will tell.

I, too, am surprised that mainstream press had only gradually revealed that they did nude dancing in Toronto. In fact, the latest one I read admits that only Steve did nude dancing and Mark did not. I don't know - maybe to protect them, or because their families didn't know. I have seen them both at Remingtons and have even talked to Steve (Trevor at Remingtons). I brought the article with their pictures (shown in another thread) to Remingtons to confirm, and a dancer and bartender were shocked to see their pictures and said it is them.

Well, this is very interesting that you saw Steve dancing at Remingtons. I find it disturbing that the Gazette would not report this even if it disturbed their families. After all, how much more disturbed can they be than that their loved ones have disappeared?! To me, the press has a duty to report everything they know and particularly since it could shed light on what might have happened to these two young guys. By printing the story that at least Steve had danced at Chippendales they were implying he only did stripping for females. Now we hear he stripped for males. It just shows that the gay press sometimes gets these stories out first and the mainstream press blows it. Just another blot on the traditional press, which has many blots in the past few years! x(

To bring this thread up-to-date and to correct my previous post, I now understand today's Montreal Gazette reported that these 2 guys had a connection with Remingtons in Toronto. I haven't been out to get today's paper as we are getting the backlash of Katrina and it isn't pleasant out there!

Service site and when I went to check the post this morning it was

there but was pulled from the board sometime this afternoon I am still

trying to figure out why after all this is news and it does have to do with 2 body building escorts from the USA .
