I saw the lowest prices I've seen in a long time today....$2.19/gallon. But most places are between 2.40 and 2.60.

I didn't get any -- was in a hurry and had close to 3/4 of a tank -- but the local Costco (NNJ, NY metro area) was selling it for $1.43 yesterday. I saw it elsewhere for $1.47.

I can remember the gas shocks of the 70s. When gas first went over $1.00/gallon many gas pumps couldn't even display the price since they only had two numbers for tenth and hundredths of a dollar.

This weeks vacation- $1.40 in Aiken, SC, $1.59 in Ocala.FL, and $1.85 in Fort Lauderdale- glad I upgraded from a compact, gas was the least of my expenses this trip!

I guess its not as bad as Reno, they are paying about 4.00+ for gas up there. I shudder to think of water prices when someone develops the cup of water go 200 miles engine:P
