I am going to Barcelona soon. Any recent info on that city : where to stay ? Is the Axelhotel a nice place to stay ? Are there rentboys there ? What about saunas, HOBs, etc. Thanks for any information. I will tell you what happened during my trip.

I had a great time at Sauna Casanova which had a very friendly goodlooking crowd of non rentboys. Never made it to Thermos Sauna which was further down the same street.

Last December I spent a week at Hotel Principal not too far from Las Ramblas. Very reasonably priced (including breakfast) and quite comfortable. Centrally located. I've stayed at the Hotel Axel several times. It's extremely nice and well-located.

 

It's gay-run and there are lots of gay men staying there...but it's not a brothel..and it's not like a gay guest-house in Key West. There are quite a few straight guests there too.

 

The hotel has a small but adequate gym. There's also a dipping pool on the roof terrace.

 

You can meet men there by checking the escort sites on the net. If you do a search on the archives here, you will find out about the saunas and houses-with-boys - both of which I know nothing about - but there are agencies and escorts working independently in Barcelona

I went to Barcelona and to Thermas sauna. That was great, even though the sauna is being upgraded and there are works inside. Not all sauna are available at this time. But the boys. OMG. Meeting is very easy, you go either to the bar, or to the darkroom or to any place and there are a lot of boys who offer services. Yeah Barcelona is still great. I was there last week. Thermas has many rentboys, mostly from Brazil and some from eastern Europe (Romania). There are all types : skinny, muscular, black, north africa, ... And you can see what you are gonna have, since they only wear a towel and many stroke their cock in public. The Sauna has been renovated and new part should be accessible next week. Tell us your experience there and give us ur comments if you happen to go there

Hello, I was in Barcelona and in the Sauna Thermas last week.

The selection of guys was much better than I hopped!:-)

Every type is available and there is defnitely a client market. There are much more boys available then clients. I enjoyed my stay very much and will come back!

Hello according to your questions.

 

The best times starts at around 4.30 p.m. It´s getting from that time on fuller till around 08.00 h. p.m . At that time the most people are in the sauna. The most busiest days when I was there (from wednesday till saturday ) were wednesday and saturday.

 

Due to the fact that are more boys than clients you will have no problem if you come earlier or later.

 

There was allways a good selection. according to that time frame above.

 

Prices: the prices are as many before stated still between 40 / 50 Euros, depending not only on what you request also on the boy and on your capability to "trade".

 

It is possible to fu.. a boy , french kiss and oral for that 40 Euro. That is also depending on the time of the day . If you arrive at 03.00 h p.m. and there is nothing to do for them...

 

Most boys are active, but you will find chicos who are willing to be passive. Just an additional info so that you should not be disappointed if the first chico says he doesnt like that.

 

I personaly paid that amounts above and did not much care if it was 10 Euros more or less. When I get that what I want physically attractive, doing what I like etc. is that 10 Euros not a huge difference.

 

I would kindly ask every member of that board at least pay a minimum which is also fair for the other part of the trade . There is a very good selection which I have never seen before in my life in any other place. To keep that living it is necessary that the system still works somehow.

 

I am from Germany and I know that other tourists say that we are cheap. I met two other men and we had the same opinion that at least an acceptabel price should be paid. In my opinion is that the 40 Euros. Sometimes I paid a little bit more and spend additional a drink on the bar or something to eat for the boy of my choice.

 

 

Concerning the last question. I am not sure if I understand it correctly. I did not meet these boys on other places. I can not say anythink about that. Maybe there are also other rent bars / saunas which I don´t know.

 

But there are boys who are defnitely willing to go with you to your hotel, or somewhere else if you pay them their time.

 

Especially if it´s going late and they can earn some extra euros...

I can only confirm what have been said previously. Thermas is a great place with a lot of attractive boys of every kind.

 

There's an ATM machine in front of the sauna. If you run short of money, the reception desk will allow you to go out to draw cash and will not charge a second entry.

 

Thermas is the closest thing in Europe to the celebrated Brazilian saunas, except that the place is rather dull. No joy in there ! No shows with gogo boys and drag queens. It's rather "business oriented" but it is very efficient.

 

Something to be said : the staff, with a few exceptions, is not very friendly.

A few days ago, I was in Madrid for the first time. I spent 60 minutes in Adan sauna ; couldn't stay longer ...

The sauna is smaller than Thermas, bu seems to be a very interesting place. There were not many boys, but I think it was due to the time (16H00, a little bit early) and to the weather (a bright sun was shining outside).

What I can say : the place seems cleaner than Thermas. And the guy at the reception desk was really very very friendly.

 

Coming back to Barcelona : Hotel Axel is really super !!! Rather expensive of course, but I love the place !

It is located at a walking distance from Thermas.

The other choices are the Hotel California or the expensive Avenida Palace.
