I'm going to have my first prostate massage this Wednesday. I am very inexperienced in receiving it preparing, and I need advice.

I bought a Fleet enema kit to experiment, and I used one bottle. Nothing happened for like the first hour, then I had to use the commode and a lot of liquid came out. Not unexpected.  Was that enough?

I have given a few prostate massages, even though I've never taken a proper course on the technique.  I always gloved up, and I used lots of lube.  I've never given one, and I'm looking forward to it.

My masseur has given me an oil massage before, so I know him. His karsei neisan and nuru techniques were wonderful, and he let me rim him. (If I were 18 again, I'd be madly in love.) Of course I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with him.  I know he can guide me in the process, and I'm comfortable with him.  So not really embarrassed.  But I'd like to know if there's anything I can do beforehand to maximize the pleasurable time I've booked (150 min). I don't want to wait an hour before I empty out.

I appreciate the humorous replies that I know are coming, but I also do want some serious advice, please.

Oh you don’t need to douche much for a prostate massage (if at all). When giving such a massage you don’t go in very deep - just thumb depth, so you only need a little freshening up with a small bulb douche. Personally I never use gloves when giving a prostate massage because I think it’s too ‘clinical’ and doesn’t feel nice for me or my client. It’s preferable if he’s clean of course but sometimes that’s not the case and if so one just cleans off and carries on. I avoid rimming if the thumb or finger comes out messy though!

Sometimes I use a prostate massage toy which is a bit girthier than my thumb or finger once the client has got used to fingers as the toy feels a bit more substantial.

@Petris Sage: A gay male nurse practitioner at an LGBTQ health center once gave me the advice below. It may not work for everyone, but it has for me.

  • Pay attention to your diet beforehand—specifically, get enough fiber to produce easily-passable stool and avoid foods that prevent that.
  • Use only warm water when you “douche.” If you’re using Fleet or a similar store-bought enema, rinse out the bottle to get rid of the saline and then fill it with warm water. (The saline can form deposits that take longer to expel completely.)
  • For mild-to-moderate anal sexual contact like you’ve described above, you mostly need to focus on cleaning out the rectum, not the entire colon. You can do so by pushing the warm water from the enema into your rectum, standing up immediately, giving your body a few quick shakes, voiding the enema water into the toilet, and repeating as needed until the water is clear. Again, this focuses on cleaning out the rectum, which is the main goal for mild-to-moderate anal sexual contact. This should suffice if you’ve paid attention to your diet beforehand. Additionally, if you don’t overdo it with the amount of water, you hopefully won’t have to deal with more liquid expulsions an hour later.

Hope this helps. And my apologies if any of this seems obvious, has been covered elsewhere, or doesn’t reflect others’ experiences.

Getting an enema before a prostate exam seems polite on your part. But it is certainly not necessary. Besides, doctors are used to getting a little poop on their gloved hand during the exam. If it freaks the doctor out he should definitely try another line of work. Or at least a specialty where prostate exams are not part of his routine.

So a few days before my appointment, I used one of the fleet enema bottles that came in the box I bought. Nothing happened for 30 minutes.  Then I had to go, and all the water came out.  Nothing appealing about the process at all.

Anyhow the day of my appointment, I was nervous about it taking too long for the enema to work. I had a two hour train ride to Tokyo with several transfers. I did not want to have anything happen along the way, so I didn't use the other bottle.  When I got there I opted to just have an oil massage, which was lovely.

The masseur told me that the Fleet enema would have irritated my anus and rectum making the whole experience unpleasant.

I suppose prostate work, like bottoming, is not for me.  Fortunately, I enjoyed the massage, and I was able to massage him too.  We both had a good experience.  He touched my anus, which I like, but stayed outside, which I think I prefer.  I touched his and he let me rim him again and we frotted until we shared our orgasms. It was lovely.

I really do appreciate y'all's advice, guys.

Don't put in very much liquid.  Just maybe 1/3 of what a Fleet Enema bottle holds per time.  But, you can put in and expel that small amount several times.

If you put in too much and liquid goes in beyond just the rectum (think of it as the entryway room) it can trigger the rest of the GI tract to move more waste on down the pipeline and actually result in an effect that's the opposite of what you want.

If you were going beyond prostate massage and even beyond normal bottoming to the degree of planning to be fisted, you'd need to do a bigger and more thorough clean out.

That makes sense. Just the rectum needs to be cleaned out.  It's an amazing amount of work.  I'm not sure I'd enjoy the experience.

But who knows?  My curiosity may grow, and I'll try the 1/3 bottle method to see if I can get prepared for another attempt.

At the moment, my lust has been satisfied from the erotic experience wound up sharing with that masseur.

Again, I do appreciate the advice and response.
