Disclosure

Disclosure is loud, sappy, dumb and features the least appealing cast I've seen in a while. Bono's daughter is terrible. Josh O'Connor doesn't have any qualities of a leading man. Colin Firth moves like a 90 year old and Emily Blunt doesn't have enough of an arc to create a character. 

The  movie cost $115 million to make. Spielberg got $10 million of that to direct.  Emily Blunt made $15 million and Josh O'Connor made $6 million. Obscene amounts of money to create a lousy product.

I saw Disclosure Day yesterday. It wasn’t bad but it was disappointing. The script and plot could have been much better.

It was soooooo bad. By the last 30 minutes or so, I think I reached my absurdity threshold and gave up hope that there would be a clever wrap up. I actually started laughing when more unintentionally ridiculous things came up (and they did).

It's hard for me to believe that professional critics actually gave this movie a good review. They're either shameless Spielberg suck-ups and/or really and truly have no idea what they're doing.

Hopefully you'll all forget it as quickly as I forgot about Close Encounters of the Worst Kind (other than the fact that I remember it being the worst 65 hours I ever spent in a movie theater).
