marylander1940 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 OP note: I guess because of our expensive hobby this won't apply to most of us but I wonder if some out there have friends or neighbors looking for roommates to cut high housing (rent, mortgage, utilities, etc.) costs. Maybe some might rent a room and treat themselves with that money to hire 👿 High housing costs mean more seniors seeking roommates : NPR
marylander1940 Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 I guess this book no longer applies to some of us, even single men and women are looking for roomates.

BLANCHE: I always thought I'd be kept by a younger man. DOROTHY: It's not too late, Blanche. They get younger every day. marylander1940, Luv2play, Lotus-eater and 1 other 1 3
BSR Posted May 31 Posted May 31 I have to think that this has always been the case, seniors who simply don’t have enough saved up for retirement have to find a roommate to share expenses. I wonder if the increase of seniors listing on SpareRoom results from changes in the economy or simply from more seniors discovering the platform. Lotus-eater and MikeBiDude 1 1
+ sniper Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I've thought about renting a bedroom out to a trainer from the gym just in hopes I'd be shamed into eating better lol. Also so deadbeat family can't move in... + Vegas_Millennial, + JamesB, Lotus-eater and 2 others 1 4
