+ glutes Posted March 27 Posted March 27 There once was a golfer named Woods who needs to stop driving for good. If he gotten a chauffeur after the last roll over It would reduce the DUI likelihood. marylander1940, wsc, Lotus-eater and 1 other 1 2 1
Luv2play Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Yeah Really. The guy is one of only two billionaires who are active athletes in the US and he continues to drive himself apparently at reckless speeds. Someday the guy is going to kill himself.

Becket Posted yesterday at 02:01 AM Posted yesterday at 02:01 AM Wandering thoughts too late at night. Opinions and guesses mostly, so feel free to ignore. Thought it noteworthy that he demanded a jury trial rather than the usual "let the judge handle it." Since this is his third DWI and fourth incident involving law enforcement (found sleeping at the wheel a while back) there is a real possibility of him getting jail time. Yes, he's rich and it's different for rich folks, blah blah blah, but nobody is going to walk away scot free after a fourth incident. I could see the judge and DA wanting very much to play the "no man is above the law" card and making an example of him in that regard. At least with a jury deciding his fate, his fancy lawyer might find at least one juror out of twelve who adores Tiger and thinks he can do no wrong. He might be able to get a Not Guilty verdict, or at least a well hung jury, out of that situation. That's some of the legal part in all of this. Some of the "Tiger needs help"....(we all hope he gets the help he needs, etc.) part begins with this particular addict who has believed for decades that "he can handle it;" whatever the IT happens to be at any given moment. This type of addict always has the hardest time making any real change in his life, if he is interested at all in that sort of thing. I'm guessing he is more sorry that he got caught than having much remorse about speeding and wrecks and hospital visits. And of course, the more injuries he gets, the more pain pills he can obtain. Don't underestimate an addict's great fear about running out of product or losing a drug source. This fear motivates addicts to do very strange things, things a random observer might call "insane." Tiger has shown intense behavior all his life: A obsession with winning and being the best. A need to have as many women as possible even when married to a very beautiful woman. A flippant disregard for small rules (like speeding) made by ordinary, less gifted people. An easy disregard for the people in his life once they are no longer of use to him. He is a champion golfer, perhaps the best ever. He had what he needed to be the best. He is also just a dude like you and me who , like you and me, can struggle with the stuff of life. It doesn't seem like he ever had what he needed to succeed, or survive, in simply living from day to day. wsc, + azdr0710, MikeBiDude and 1 other 3 1
Luv2play Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) I found it strange that Tiger was able to convince the judge that he could leave the country for rehab treatment. The United States and California in particular has some world class addiction treatment centres. A son of friends of mine years ago went from Atlanta to California for such treatment in his 2O’s and it worked, but at an incredible cost. That would not present a problem to Tiger. I wonder where outside the country he is going. Switzerland? Edited 15 hours ago by Luv2play BSR 1
