Openly Gay Man To Sign US Currency

Treasury Secretary Scott Besssent will be the first openly gay man to sign US currency. Haven't seen any complaints about it.

Isn't it normal for the Treasury Secretary of the day to sign banknotes? I can imagine some audiences taking exception to it, but not the audience here.
