+ PhileasFogg Posted March 4 Posted March 4 I was there in 2024 with https://rentmen.eu/mramericandream We stayed on the French side at La Playa Orient Bay. Frankly, I recall the island being fairly straight. Becket 1
MscleLovr Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I’ve always heard that if you need company there, you better have imported your own companion. But since it’s a renowned (and expensive) vacation spot, I imagine that quite a few fit young men would want to accompany you in the season.
+ PhileasFogg Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) At the risk of being either pedantic or incorrect @mike carey, I believe the island is Saint Martin with the French side being Saint-Martin and the Dutch side being Sint-Maarten. Either way, I highly recommend the house distilled rum at Ocean82 in Marigot Edited March 6 by PhileasFogg + Charlie 1

Possibly so, although without the hyphen in Dutch. However, the title was originally posted as St Maarten, so the spelling of Maarten in it wasn't my decision. + Charlie and Nue2thegame 1 1

+ nycman Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Sint Maarten = dirty Dutch side with the cruise ship terminal and airport. Saint Martin = passable French side. AKA a poor man’s St Barts. Nue2thegame 1
Nue2thegame Posted March 19 Posted March 19 St Barts is spectacular and the vastly better beaches, food and vibe justifies the higher prices. Way better choice. + nycman 1
