Purim is the Jewish festival that commemorates the defeat of Haman's plot to massacre the Jewish population of ancient Persia, as recorded in the book of Esther...... especially appropriate now.

There's a local non-kosher deli/restaurant chain in the area called Cindi's. It's owned by a Vietnamese family. They make giant Hamantaschen.  But I think I've missed out on getting them this year. The Hamantaschen are only ok. But their egg bagels are excellent!!

I didn't go to a Purim party this year. But I picked up dinner for my Mom and myself. On the way I stopped at Burger King and picked up two crowns for us to wear to celebrate the holiday.
