Walt Posted yesterday at 03:44 AM Posted yesterday at 03:44 AM At least for me, what were clear working links to rent.men in vet many posted chains (but not all) have now become long strings of random characters that are effectively broken links. Is there something to do abut this? Thanks everyone. pubic_assistance, + sync and + azdr0710 3

The main fix is to keep it as a simple link and not to embed the link in the post. Walt, DMICS and + azdr0710 2 1

What about accessing the now hundreds of broken links already out there on the site? EastbayMike and pubic_assistance 1 1
+ azdr0710 Posted yesterday at 04:45 AM Posted yesterday at 04:45 AM I'm glad this is happening to other people, too!! I'm just re-upping a new link as I come across these. The entire forum should get in the habit of clicking on that "post as link" option when posting a new profile. Yeah, it's one tiny extra step, but....baby steps! + Gar1eth and pubic_assistance 1 1

What about accessing the now hundreds of broken links already out there on the site? Well you can't do it from the broken link. But say we take the following for an example. Tiagolatinboy - Pornstar Performer, Rentboy, Gay Massage in San Francisco, CA | RentMen RENTMEN.EU Pornstar Performer & Rentboy in San Francisco, CA - Tiagolatinboy: Guy horny 8inch available You have to go outside the Message Center (which isn't difficult for me as I have more than one browser on my phone and my computer.) What I do is take the name of the escort in this case Tiagolatinboy, put it in the search bar of a browser. Then follow that with either rent.men or rentmen. And usually the search results will pop up with the link you need to get to the ad in question assuming the ad hasn't been deleted from RM. pubic_assistance 1

I'm guessing an update to the system forgot to ask for automatic display of the previously posted profiles as live links. I see a few members have, kindly taken it upon themselves to post a new link during ongoing conversations that started with a (now) broken link. Walt 1

It happened/is happening with my phone and my computer. Not sure if others have noticed, but, if there is a large gray square above the link, left clicking within the gray area will activate the link. + JamesB Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago In some cases, this kind of thing is intentional, a form of obfuscation or an anti-scraping measure that certain forums use. In this particular case, and this is just my guess, it looks more like a common symptom of forum database corruption or an issue from a failed migration. I’m sure the admin will be able to figure out what’s happening and hopefully apply a fix.
