+ SirBillybob Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 In the book it’s Montreal Voyageurs and Boston Bears.
Guest MikeThomas Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 Why does Pink News call it a “queer show”? Can’t they say Gay?
KeepItReal Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 This looks like it could be fun to watch. Hockey rivals getting physical. Eye candy, cheeky and a hint of scandal. https://youtu.be/R1gISAGJyIk MRK 1

pubic_assistance Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 Hot. I had a regular thing going with a team member for the Penguins when I lived in Pittsburgh. I won't mention his name since he wasn't "out" and I dont know if he ever did come out later. But I will say it's always been sexy to me when I would find a hot guy who is a professional athlete especially if he's closeted. Its like you got access to a secret club. I never understood this obsession that gays have with outing everyone. Theres something very sexy about hooking up with a "str8" presenting athlete. I would literally be far less excited if he were openly gay. + azdr0710, jackcali, thomas and 3 others 5 1

d.anders Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 There is a lot of buzz about Heated Rivalry on HBO Max, especially among gay TV fans. When a thread merge took place, why were these important words not included in the thread title? MikeBiDude and + FrankR 2

He was definitely "cowboy" presenting.❤️ The closeted athlete trope is not new, though. The book must have been extra good. Looks like it starts tonight, Heated Rivalry, on HBO Max. pubic_assistance and KeepItReal 1 1
Guest MikeThomas Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 (edited) Watching now. Made it halfway through Episode 1. The sex scene was hot and steamy, but overall the first half of E1 was disappointing with clunky dialogue and awful acting by the supporting actors, particularly Shane Hollander's mother and father. The 50s something father never heard of YouTube? Definitely a Canadian production. Edited November 28, 2025 by MikeThomas
MikeBiDude Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 I’m liking it so far…and yes some fun sex scenes. I read one article saying average 3 sex scenes/episode. Good eye candy. + FrankR, MRK, + SirBillybob and 2 others 2 1 2
+ SirBillybob Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 (edited) YouTube user utilization, hence a surrogate marker for social media awareness etc, around the time frame of the scene, about 2010, was about 5% what it is today. So sue the evidently unplugged Mr Hollander. Product branding within that platform was just getting started. The scene was also meant to contrast the Canadian’s mother’s key managerial role playing somewhat against type in her son’s career, the father more a tag-along with values less oriented to undue pressuring his son, while the Russian player’s father a pushy taskmaster. TonyDown Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 (edited) I started epi 2. Will Hollander's mom turn out to be a homophobic, greedy beeotch? Would be more interesting if she was banging one of the Russians. Slutty mom! Secrets!! I appreciate the sex scenes were produced by people that actually know how it works. 😃 Kudos to Crave and HBO. ❤️ From the OUT.COM article. Guest MikeThomas Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 At IMDB, 1,311 raters give the show an 8.9/10 rating. The bulk of the ratings are 10/10. The Gays are voting en masse.
+ sf westcoaster Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 It won't win any awards for writing or acting, but it sure as heck is entertaining. Great chemistry between the two leads and oh yes, the multiple sex scenes are very well done. + FrankR, thomas, MikeBiDude and 1 other 3 1
+ FrankR Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 Good enough to make me want to read the book series it is based on! MikeBiDude 1
d.anders Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 WOW. So far, I'm very impressed. These are some of the best gay sex scenes I've ever seen. These scenes are incredibly difficult to film, especially when not exposing actor cock is a mandate. The story seems ripe with tension and conflict. The actor casting appears to be spot on. This show has hit written all over it. No wonder the buzz is through the roof. Good for them. MRK, pubic_assistance and + sf westcoaster 2 1
