Yup… “hottest queer show of the fall.”  What is a “queer” show?

Hot.

I had a regular thing going with a team member for the Penguins when I lived in Pittsburgh. I won't mention his name since he wasn't "out" and I dont know if he ever did come out later.  But I will say it's always been sexy to me when I would find a hot guy who is a professional athlete especially if he's closeted. Its like you got access to a secret club. I never understood this obsession that gays have with outing everyone. Theres something very sexy about hooking up with a "str8" presenting athlete. I would literally be far less excited if he were openly gay.

Does hooking up with a professional rodeo cowboy count?  😗. He was definitely "cowboy" presenting.❤️

The closeted athlete trope is not new, though.  The book must have been extra good.

Looks like it starts tonight, Heated Rivalry, on HBO Max.

Watching now.

Made it halfway through Episode 1.  The sex scene was hot and steamy, but overall the first half of E1 was disappointing with clunky dialogue and awful acting by the supporting actors, particularly Shane Hollander's mother and father.  The 50s something father never heard of YouTube?  Definitely a Canadian production.

YouTube user utilization, hence a surrogate marker for social media awareness etc, around the time frame of the scene, about 2010, was about 5% what it is today. So sue the evidently unplugged Mr Hollander. Product branding within that platform was just getting started. The scene was also meant to contrast the Canadian’s mother’s key managerial role playing somewhat against type in her son’s career, the father more a tag-along with values less oriented to undue pressuring his son, while the Russian player’s father a pushy taskmaster.

Were the two of you characteristically monogamous and with happy feet for a single breeding season?

I started epi 2.

Will Hollander's mom turn out to be a homophobic, greedy beeotch?   Would be more interesting if she was banging one of the Russians.  Slutty mom!  Secrets!!

I appreciate the sex scenes were produced by people that actually know how it works.  😃

Kudos to Crave and HBO.  ❤️

At IMDB, 1,311 raters give the show an 8.9/10 rating.  The bulk of the ratings are 10/10.  The Gays are voting en masse.

WOW. So far, I'm very impressed. These are some of the best gay sex scenes I've ever seen. These scenes are incredibly difficult to film, especially when not exposing actor cock is a mandate.

The story seems ripe with tension and conflict. The actor casting appears to be spot on. This show has hit written all over it. No wonder the buzz is through the roof. Good for them.
